I got mine from the health food shop, I just add about 1/2 teaspoon to one meal a day. I have been lucky and not needed to add any to Lacys food for some time now.

Have you tried psyllium husks. I had problems with my girl and the vet recommended Metamucil but I decided to try the psyllium husks instead and it worked a treat. We were going every 4 - 6 weeks and one day we seen a different vet who recommended that I let her go longer and try the fibre and we did and everything came good and the problem went away. I know it might not work that way for everyone we may have just been lucky. But the vet did say the more they express the more they will need to be expressed and it can turn into a viscious circle. If I was you I would not opt for surgery till you have explored every avenue? Are the glands just full or are they impacted? Are you taking her as soon as you see her scooting or is she getting time to express them herself? Some dogs just need the time and others don't.

What a crap day all round, so dam hot in the big green shed and pouring thunder lightning the works, come home to find our yard and garage flooded, get ready to go out for dinner, get there and find they have no air con and the place is so dam noisy you can Hardley hear yourself think! I was glad to get home to my air conditioner Theres my whinge for the day!! Tez I though the pic over the jump was a classic!!

Hi, why wait? what would you be waiting for? The earlier you can socialize your pup the better, they are pretty resilient at that age and love to learn they are like little sponges. Have fun with your pup.

Thanks guys, Ruger, I have an 18 - 250 tamron and I rue the day I bought it, I will just have to stick with the 50mm for the time being! Till I have enough saved up for the upgrade, but I've made up my mind now to stick with Nikon for sure! Eta dam predictive txt :D

Whoops I mean to add Sherel, I will be in touch in the next few weeks to order a bag as I have not long ago opened a 15 kilo of Nutro, as soon as we are getting low I will order. I think the only thing to do with this food is give it a try and then if they don't do well on it or don't like it then swap to something else. The biggest thing for me is if it is good and healthy, they like it and do well on it, then cost. The fact that the food is cheaper than other premium brands is a bonus for me, especilly feeding 4.

I will be interested to see how one of my girls goes on BH, the vet said she thought Lacys itchiness (not severe) was due to a grass allergy but since using Nutro she is practically itch free. I don't think I have heard one bad thing ever about BH, unlike all the other brands there is usually differing opinions but BH sounds like a real winner.

Thanks for input, after yesterday's efforts I was ready to throw the D80 to the wind actually it was more the lense. I have been using the 50mm a lot and yesterday had to take pics for our dog obedience Xmas party so I put the kit lens back on and away I went. Do you think I could take a decent shot with it, I was so annoyed. You realize how versatile the 50 mm is after you go back to the kit lense. Good in low light and shade and for action and close ups as well. I think at this stage when I do upgrade I will stick with Nikon, especially as I have three lenses I can use. and the money it would have cost me to swap I'd be better off to spend n new glass instead. Thanks again.
