Pickles not only de-stuffs, but also swallows said stuffing... and sometimes will also chew up and swallow chunks of said soft toy... she doesn't get them as a rule because I really don't want to end up with an obstruction... T.

Gotta love laws that make it easier to "police" those doing the right thing right out of business - and leaving those mass producing pups for the "pet market" virtually untouched... *sigh* T.

Harper the Horse Puppy does that too... 30kgs of crazy collapsing puppy that I end up trying to stop from falling off the couch is hard work! T.

Would you mind to shed light on the issue that I have omitted please? The purpose of this research is to find out what are the common health problems and see if there's any solution or prevention for it. Thanks and Happy Friday :) Hmmm... a bit TOO defensive... and way too vague about any real details as to why you are asking for this information. If you are doing any form of study research in a formal manner, you're going to need to be a LOT more specific about what you are actually wanting to get out of said research. If it's for a primary school project, then I suppose the opening post would suffice... *grin*... but you'll still have to be open and honest about WHY you want this information. T.

Well - I have 4 dogs, and only the 15 year old Rotti cross has any of the listed items - but at 15 she's doing pretty well and the arthritis is fairly mild so far. T.

Problem is that none of this type of person tends to run for government... *sigh* T.

Some people won't take kindly to their application not being successful - no matter how you sugar coat it... Best tactic is to be honest - and not too long winded or apologetic. Probably start with thanking them for their application, and then simply advise that they were not a successful applicant for this particular dog, but if they would care to consider another dog that the rescue may have that would be a better match for their family that may be arranged. If they are unsuccessful because they are actually unsuited to owning any dog, just stop at the being unsuccessful applicant part... *grin* T.

No new laws are going to be effective while there isn't the manpower to enforce them. Laws are easy to pass and for the stupidest of reasoning - but to actually follow through and put bodies out into the field to make sure those laws are being adhered to is a whole other ball game... Until the current laws are being policed effectively, what's the freaking point of any new ones being added? Only those actually following the rules are being penalised - everyone else just goes about their merry business pumping out puppies for the masses... *sigh* T.

I'd be calling the vet - they can give you some advice over the phone, or you could take the dog in for a check over... T.

This one is close to my heart... There is an elderly asian couple who walk their little JRT boy at about the time I'm leaving home for work. I always make sure to stop before I cross the footpath because if I can see them on the path I know he's about 20 feet in front of them... ie. right under my car if I'm backing out of my drive... *sigh* T.
