  1. Our old staffy x ate almost a whole block of macadamia nut chocolate - spent the night at the vet on a drip and pulled through - no long term effects - he lived for quite a few more years - fingers crossed for your neighbours dog
  2. Hope you get it sorted Jo - I'm too chicken to even listen to it.
  3. My OH doesn't like walking the dainty female kelpie because he is worried when she pees that someone. will think she is pooing and yell at him for not picking it up. He tends to forget his big tough bloodhound boy also squats to pee  The kelpie is the one that pees on our walks though - I think the bloodhound is shy. - I always carry bags - he never does - so maybe he has reason to worry about them pooing though - I have all trained the kids to pick up the dog poo - gotta be some use for them :D
  4. We were able to choose Earls pedigree name - his full pedigree name is Centitout My Name is Earl - call name - Earl (or Doofus or Drooly or just Pup  ) We were looking for a bluesy name - rest of the litter was Twilight themed.
  5. Here is the Australian web site for the dog collars and leash sets mentioned earlier They are Green - Friendly, Orange - No Dogs, Red - Caution and Yellow - Adopt Me With postage works out about $46 per set Dexil dog collars Australia
  6. Will check dates but hopefully will get there if weather permits
  7. I will check the diary but the hound and I went last year and would be interested in going again
  8. I think the orange says "No Dogs" - I ordered a set for my kelpie
  9. We have 2 and no intention of adding to it - small yard and both working. We did have 3 for quite a while and that worked well for us but hat was pre children and we had more time for them. I think 2 is as many as I would like to have although have considered fostering in the future.
  10. I have worked with Mark with my dogs and would highly reccomend him as a behaviourist. I know he works closely with Dogcity Daycare but haven't heard any details re. the puppy preschool but looks good on the website.
  11. ALl of our dogs have been in the pool at least once so we could show them where the steps were. Our ACD x used to do laps with my OH - the staffy x would go in after a tennis ball but all of ours prefer the beach because of the gradual slope.
  12. He is a gorgeous boy - good on you for taking him on
  13. He has the same facial markings as my kelpie
  14. I have done this once with my bloodhound and kelpie and am very keen to try it again soon. Doesn't seem to have increased either of their prey drive .
  15. Not sure on dates yet - but timewise looking at about 10.30 - so not an unreasonably early hour :)
  16. But she'd be funny to watch - like a big rolling pom pom *L* But a very pretty rolling pom pom !!!! And - knowing Jaana - a very loud one too *L*
  17. But she'd be funny to watch - like a big rolling pom pom *L*
  18. I agree with Bully - Kiya will enjoy the outing if nothing else. Rosie was in her element - Earl was hysterically funny (as was Pele) and the salukis were so graceful :) Trevor seems pretty confident we can arrange a couple of Saturdays for us - they apparently have a meeting tomorrow :)
  19. Just spoke to Trevor - he will get back to me early next week with some dates - probably a Saturday about 10.30 :) Will post as soon as he confirms dates.
