  1. sometimes even though the large canines look OK the back molars can still have a build up of tartar. Do you check his back teeth too?
  2. Oh no I'm so sorry. Let yourself cry, howl if you want. You did the right thing by him, seems he was happy right until the end.
  3. This reminds me of Robert DeNiro in Taxi driver. "you talkin' to me?"
  4. Puppeeeeessss! beautiful little things all drunk on milk. I love it when their little tongues poke out.
  5. that will be exciting for you. He looks very cute.
  6. I didn't have the challenge in mind when I took this pic this morning but I suppose it fits in a way. Ball and Window.
  7. I wonder if you got some white tissue or toilet paper and dabbed it on suspect orifices you might find some colour.
  8. I've got some like this too. Crazy little sex fiends.
  9. I bred 2 litters and I dont show. I wanted to have a racing line of pedigree whippets. I find to my dismay I dont really like the direction my beloved breed is heading in anyway now. Whippets are often above the height standard now, so much so that if one is within the standard it's often overlooked as being too small. If I could find another bitch just like Kibah, small, compact, very curvy, and fast, I would continue to try for my racing line of correct to standard whippets, but I know for sure they wouldn't do any good in the show ring.
  10. lovely photos, the jumping ones are cute. I have a great admiration for all of you who manage to take those self timer portraits. I haven't managed one that's any good.
  11. week 9 My boy Puck, who just might be the worlds most beautiful boy whippet :D well, he is to my eyes anyway.
  12. Will we have a March challenge or have they ended?
  13. I know it shouldn't matter but a good clear, expressive photo of a dog needing rescue probably makes a huge difference. Poor Zero, he was lucky to get you Shell with that photo. Interesting to see the low set of his ears in it, he looks so uncertain, compared to the kooky happy boy he is today. CatherineB, why is Kenny famous? You have some lovely pics of the rescues there. I haven't personally rescued dogs, other than one I bred and took back but I did help out when my friend who was a foster carer took ill herself, so I took Enzo for a while. He lived here with my 5 and my friends 2 dogs as well and settled in. He now has a great loving home so I am told. I was happy to have had some involvement in it. Here's the little guy. la la la!
  14. very cute, has OH now got a broken nose or black eyes?
  15. Breeds being referred to as Breads, breeders as breaders.
  16. Looks like CrazyCresties got what you were after. My childhood was a pretty scary place anyway, so it just looked like childhood to me.
  17. I just saw someone has posted a pic of their new puppy on another forum, it's a tiny Chihuahua DATSUNcross. And it was sitting in a coffee cup. I suppose that makes it a coffee cup chihuahua datsun cross.
  18. a couple of whippets got injuries at our last whippet fun day and I said to their owners it sounds like a gracillus (sp?) tear. One woman took her whippet to the Sandown vets, I assume she means the greyhound vets there and they've said it needs to be surgically repaired. Does that happen alot. I thought it would be rest, healing and physio. The other thing that concerns me a bit is that by the time they get to operate, this Thursday the injury will be almost 2 weeks old. The other woman took her whippet to a normal vet and they didn't know what it was.
  19. You will have great photo opportunities with him. My whippets run away from the hose.
  20. As far as I understand they are uninjured, they were tied up at the time. The news report showed footage of them smiling and looking happy, probably at their home.
  21. I'm not sure that story is correct, it might be, but the way it was described on TV and showed security footage of the woman waddling along was that as he passed her on his way to sit down she said his dogs were dangerous and kept walking. He then went and sat at a bench seat, just out of sight of the camera. The husband of the woman came out and got in his car and also spoke to the man with the dogs. The owner went to talk to him and the driver ran him down. I think they'll catch these two, they have footage of her and she's pretty distinctive, very obese with a lumbering walk. If they're locals to the area they'll be found quickly. I really hope the man is charged with attempted murder.
