Timely that you should bring this up again, I was just about to see what others think I should do. I didn't take Penny to a Chiro at the time because it was sore and inflammed and I was scared it might be made worse. I kept her quiet and on the meds the vet gave and she seems absolutely fine now. So now my problem is I wonder if I should take her to a chiro, or perhaps Des Fegan the greyhound vet, but then I wonder, she is well at the moment, do I take healthy dog to the vet for a problem that might have resolved itself? I'm not sure what to do. here she is since the flare up, back to her old self, look at her go.

Leather leads & salt water [or any water for that matter] don't go well together exactly, particularly salt water. If I knew in advance I was going to have leather in salt water I would say oil it thoroughly before hand and then clean it afterwards, rinse in fresh water to get the salt off and oil again, but even then it might not look the same, it would probably be darker. Best to use synthetic in the sea. I bought my horse a little plastic bridle for when we went to the beach, I used to call it his bathers.

some cameras have better weather sealing than others. I think the 7D has partial weather sealing but the rebel models dont like the rain. I took some pics in the rain yesterday with my camera, it's the first I've done it and I was still quick to wipe it down afterwards. Dont forget the lenses too, they're not always weather sealed to the same standards as the body you might be using, some might have more, some might have less.
