there's some gorgeous pics in here. My whippets aren't big on head tilts though, I'll have to try to coax them somehow.
-
what is it? I've always wanted to go out at night and try for some long exposures on the traffic. Haven't got round to it yet though.
-
I like the colours in this.
-
send the pics of both spiders to whats that bug? they'll identify them for you.
-
terra that's great news, I didn't know you got the results so quickly. It's a great photo, I'd love it if you could have got the doggies leaping with you but I think that would have been impossible, then again, if anyone can get that shot it would be you. some great pics here, look at the Campaspe river, when the level is down it's hard to believe it got so high.

Yummy! Frodos mum your crazy dogs seem to spend alot of time airborne, and you do well capturing it. Here's my cute little Kibah, I was trying out the live view on my camera.

I see plenty of German Shepherd dog owners who say they've got a German sheperd or shepard and lots of chiwawa owners too so it's not just SBT breeders who cant spell the name of their breed. Reminds me of a woman I used to work with who said she named her daughter Tara because it was the only name she knew how to spell.

:D I thought I was the only one to call a dog a sock monster. Feather gets called the sockie monster. She throttles them when she's excited, such as about to go for a walk, or have her dinner, or when I come home.

Why dont people like them being called Staffies? Lots of other breeds get abbreviated. GSDs (german shepherd dogs) GSPs (german shorthaired pointers) Foxies (Fox Terriers) Greys (Greyhounds) Rotties (Rottweilers) Dachies (Daschund) to name a few. Please dont flame me, it's just that I have wondered about this before. Why is it so offensive. I'm looking to be enlightened here please, not burned to a crisp.

what a great photo, I showed this to a friend who didn't beleive it to be real. I insisted it was. It's a fantastic capture.

It's hard isn't it. We're having another fun day on Feb 19th if you want some practice. I'm planning on practicing side ons rather than head ons.
-
bred to drive game from their burrows or go in and throttle it I think. Not sure what burrow an Airdale would get down though

What did you find the problem was with the moving ones. I know the cyclone wire fence is just at the wrong height for me there but you're taller and I hoped you'd be able to see better.

He looks like he's whispering in her ear "get the bunny!" and from the sounds of it she did her best.
-
I haven't seen him today. Earlier there was a group of cockies all squawking and sounding agitated so I went out to look but couldn't see what they were fussing about. If I can I will catch him though. I'll do my best. Your little Georgie is lovely. What sort is he/she?

he will love that Bec. What's his name, he might come to Healesville too. As to accidents I've seen trainers and owners cry if their dog is injured and I dont believe it's just a meal ticket down the drain as someone once argued with me. Some trainers and owners love their dogs.

That is really bad luck that both bodies failed within the first year. Can you say who you bought them off?
-
can you post the example here. Was she in shadow or sunlight and what colour is she?

Anyone Else Get Emotional As Your Dog Gets Older?
Kirislin replied to Muttaburra's topic in General Dog Discussion
Happy Birthday Maxi. Yes, I worry that my youngest dogs are rising 7 and Penny will be 12 this year. She's in fantastic condition but whippets generally go at around 13. Even if she lives to be an old dog by whippet standards it still means she'll probably be gone in 3 years. -
:D Hoo Bloody ;) Ray!!!!! Can we call you Doctor Terra now?
-
Oh?! I thought they were harmless, they're so cute and fluffy looking, I foolishly thought they couldn't hurt. Here's mine for the day, this poor cocky looks pretty sick. I dont think it will be around much longer. If I can catch it I will take it to Healesville Sanctuary they'd probably euthanase it but it's better than a slow death.

I'm pretty sure it's a bumble bee. I dont think they're on the mainland, they're stowaways from Europe or the US I think.
-
aparently yes, seems they're in all states but Tassie.
