I got a bit nervous when they saw me, they had their own photographer with them and he spotted me first and spoke to them. They all turned their backs to me then. When I was walking back to my car a bloke in civvies was heading in to the depot. He had a shaved head and a pistol in a holster on his hip, I dont think it was a cop issue one though, looked more like something out of a western with a carved wooden handle. I said to him, so have you got him yet. I saw him hesitate, as if thinking whether he should answer me or not, then he just kept walking. I said to him, dont you talk to Muggles. He just kept going.

We have a manhunt going on in my little town. When I first saw this helicopter coming in to land I thought it was some of Oprahs tourists but then a bloke in camoflauge fatigues, lugging what looked like a machine gun appeared from a car and climbed in. Surely that is a mistake! I think they mean without IS, if not and it's new I'd pounce on it if I was in the market for one. I wonder if they'd be obliged to sell the one with IS at that price since they've advertised it. They'd probably say it's out of stock, and when the new ones come in there's been a price rise.

Please show me the page you're seeing these prices on. I had a look and I found the original 70-200 with IS for $1899US and I'd assume there's postage to Aus on top of that. I must be looking in the wrong place.

You'd get charged duty (and postage of course) on top of that though, how much extra is that?

Talk to Annie, she has the Sigma, I think she's happy with it and it's alot cheaper than the Canon and dont forget to check out the lens archive on POTN.

Looks like it was well deserved. That tree is stunning and yes I agree, the snake almost looks 3D.

Tag is the boy I sometimes refer to as Dum Dum head, but today he did something I think is really clever. Since I've got them a doggy door I try not to get up and down as much to let them in when they're outside looking at me through the kitchen door. I tell them to "go 'round" and they run all the way around the outside of the house to come in through the doggy door. Today it was me outside though and Tag inside looking at me through the kitchen door wanting me to open it to let him out. I said to him go 'round and I could see him thinking and then suddenly he took off through the house to go to the doggy door. I've never said it to him in that context before, isn't that clever of him.
