Who bred your beautiful whippet? My own Kibah came from SA.

Feather is very wimpy with bones. All the others chew them with gusto but Feather pussy foots around it. Sometimes I go out and encourage her to chew it, which seems to help. I say to her "what a good girl you are, chewing your bone, just like a real dog!"

they look like pork. Have your dogs had pork before? Maybe they dont like it. Mine prefer lamb to beef or roo.
-
Are sheep measels also called hytatids? I think they're a kind of tapeworm and cause cysts in muscles and organs. edit, nope they're not. http://fw.farmonline.com.au/news/state/liv...wa/1646497.aspx http://mdsheepgoat.blogspot.com/2007/05/wh...ep-measles.html

Thanks. I like the way her eyes are often closed when she's peeling and eating it. I've noticed Penny is the same when I give her an egg in the shell. She makes a little hole and then nom nom nom licks out the egg with her eyes closed.

same here! It's mostly Kibah, they all like them but as soon as she hears the snap of the top of the banana she comes running, even if she's been sound asleep in the other room. If banana are on special I deliberately buy lots so they can all have some. success at last!

Oooh congrats, what a good family you have. You'll be on that thread soon telling us what you have.

Our Latest Addition... Fable - Finnish Lapphund Puppy

Very entertaining pics as usual/ I'll be blowed if I can figure out how you manage to get so many shots of them wrestling and running. It's damn near impossible with my lot. -
Yep, I've seen this before. It's extremely difficult to euthanase such a large animal. It sounds gruesome, and it probably was, but I am sure they did their best.
-
I'd say so, Kibah is still alive and well.

I've no idea how old the person who did this is but who knows how the horrors of war affect people. Certainly not all the ones who survive are changed into caring compassionate people.
-
I suspect she endured the war in Croatia. I could imagine that would scar a person mentally enough to be disconnected with their feelings.
-
Not sure if anyone else does this. I find a good way to remember to worm animals every 3 months is to align it with the changing of the seasons. then I dont have to worry about writing it on the calendar. I just know when each new season starts it's time to worm.

I hope you said "Yes, it is serious" when the council employee asked. I think it was. If it needed veterinary attention it's serious.
-
Bad enough doing it but then getting someone to film it and then deciding to post it for the world to see. It would be interesting to hear just what was going on in their heads. I wonder if the girl has lived through a war. I could imagine that could influence a person, especially a young one, to be disconnected from their feelings.
-
I hope they died quickly. I suppose it would have been.

what dear little dogs. I love the sweet faced little merle? coloured one looking up at you. It might be good if you tried cropping it to remove some of the surrounds.

I recently reported a dog that attacked one of mine and although they haven't found the woman yet, they took it very seriously and have phoned me 3 times to assure me they're still looking for her.

so glad all the difficulties of keeping Banjo were worked through for Gary. I cannot imagine with all the injuries he has to deal with how bleak his life would have been if Banjo too was taken from him. What a great outcome. Well done to all involved.

Funny they say they cant take action on a single incident. A friend of mine reported a bloke whose dogs rushed hers while she was walking them on leash to the local park. His dogs were off leash and frightened her and her dogs. She knows where he lives so she reported him and the council sent him a fine based purely on her say so! I was very surprised, I know she was telling the truth, I just didn't think they could do that. She lives in the Port Melbourne area.
