Tag eating pineapple skin. He's getting that broken tooth seen to this week in case anyone thinks I'm neglecting him.

I'll second Warleys completely inappropriate Phwoaaarrrrrrrr! and suggest, how about a moody, shadowy one without his shirt, you know, a James Deany sort of shot. Huh, huh? Tell him not to worry, I am old enough to be his mother.

I hadn't realised that sick looking puppy hasn't been to a vet alarm bells were ringing for me when I first saw that photo, and even more so when she said how quiet it was, but for some reason I thought it had been vet checked and deemed OK. Now I realise it wasn't. Oh dear, poor little pup.

I agree Persephone. Poor little one doesn't look well to me.

I get lamb flaps sometimes for my whippets. They might need to be trimmed of fat, sometimes they have alot on them. Feather is a bit of a princess with bones and I like the ribs because I can cut them up into individual ribs for her. She delicately chews through one and then comes running back as if to say, I'm ready for the next one. The other whippets just get the whole thing thrown out to them on the grass, but not Feather. Sometimes she needs encouragement, so I go out and tell her what a good girl she is, just like a REAL DOG!!

the second link says it's private.

Yep, I've since got a book, photoshop for photographers so I'll start wading through that.

Oooh how exciting, how about a stockman and his trusty dog. I can just see a weatherbeaten face, a ragged hat and shirt, maybe a stockwhip, even a stockhorse in the background. Cant help you acquire the subject though.

hahaha, I just had to hunt Kibah away from a sunflower seedling. It's the first time I've ever grown one before so it's new to them but typically my inquisitive dogs will taste anything. I suspect its days are numbered now she's noticed it. Mine also eat several weeds, one is clivers and the other I call mustard, tastes similar to rocket, which they also love. I suppose what I am getting at is that I think it's perfectly natural for dogs to eat veggies/plants, just not solely.
-
Hmmm, a vegetarian dog probably doesn't have the same gut flora as a meat eating dog, then again, I've heard cat poo is bad for dogs, I know of one ate alot, got pancreatitis and died from it.

Just wanted to see the two on the same page

then you'll know what he will say, he's already said it to you. Is it just that you want everyone to agree with you or not comment at all? I haven't insulted anyone.

My dogs love fruit and vegies and not just cause I offer them. They seek them out, much like foxes I believe who will help themselves to windfall fruit and I often see blackberry seeds in fox poo. I think dogs are predominantly meat eaters but they do love variety and eat all sorts of other food they might get access to. this is Puck stealing very immature nectarines.

A bloke I know gave me Photoshop 7.0 but I've no idea how to use the damn thing :D neither does he. It also has something called Adobe Image ready 7.0. When I asked him what that was he said no idea. How does one learn how to use this stuff.

excuse me, I haven't isulted anyone and when I suggested road kill I meant you'd have to go collect it yourself.
-
You could always feed your carnivore road kill, then you dont have the guilt of having an animal die for your pet, otherwise, once again I suggest get a pet rabbit, guinea pig, sheep, cow, llama, deer, whatever, you have a lot of herbivore choices for a pet.
-
I suggest she gets a bunny or a guinea pig then, they have the teeth and digestive system made to cope with vegetarian only diet.

Every photo I ever of these engaging little dogs seems to show a personality of fun and good humour. I dont think I'd ever seen them before DOL but there's a few of them on here and it's always the same. so once again great pics, thanks!
-
It was 200 but only because that's what it happened to be on when I grabbed the camera. this was all happening so fast.
-
thanks, you're completely right about the quick opportunity, I didn't have time to look at the settings, I just grabbed the camera and started clicking, the only thing I had a chance to do after a few shots was flick to continuous shoot. It's just so disappointing when I see so many brilliant photos of birds and mine are not fully focussed and pale and washed out and they've got the dreaded purple fringing, most obvious in the first pic on the leading edges of the eagles wings. I want crisp sharp photos with vivid colours and that's not what I've got.
-
I am so disappointed, I wish I knew how to take better photos  I had these 2 wedge tailed eagles flying overhead, one even landed in my paddock with an ibis chick, it eventually had to leave the chick behind because the magpies were harrassing it so much. It would've been the most fantastic photo opportunity but I wasted it. I am crap, if anyone can give me some advice on how to get better photos please fire away. Taken with a 400D and the 70-200 Heavily cropped

These are FANTASTIC!!!!! Well done. I am most impressed with everyones so far, I hope you can still get them entered.
-
the damn things are no where near ripe though. They are white nectarines and the couple I've tasted where lovely but as the whippets eat them long before they're ripe very few make it to edible stage.
-
I've often mentioned how my dogs eat almost anything, and it's pretty much impossible for me to grow fruit or vegies in my garden. Here's an example, this is the poor nectarine tree, the fruit is tiny and hard and, I would imagine very sour, or bitter, I dont fancy trying it myself but the boys love them. For the last 3 years running I've only managed to get about 3 nectarines for myself, and even they usually have whippet teeth marks in them. Pucky sizes up a victim makes his selection and attacks like the ruthless predator he is! I think this is him saying to himself YESSSSSSSS!!!!! and so now, for its own protection and in the vain hope I might even get one or two this year. although I do this every year anyway, the dogs just rip the fruit through the netting, I have to try though. sigh
