  1. I thought of Stan straight away when I saw the thread title. Yes Aussie3 Bruno wacked his head on a brick wall last night when my OH got home. Bruno was excited, spun around quickly and wump! The wall just jumped out and hit him, yet again. I always cringe at that watermelon-hitting-a-brick-wall sound. Of course, he was fine and happy and didn't even seem to notice. I've never heard him yelp in pain, at anything.... O.o Going by past experience, when he has clocked me under my chin/ run into me, I think it's safe to assume that my dog's skull is made of thick, reinforced concrete. Maybe Lili's is too? I reckon! She jumped up and whacked me on the nose with her boofhead once and gave me a nosebleed!
  2. Lili just turned around quickly to grab her toy and smashed her head against the door frame, the noise was sickening, she just picked up her toy and ran outside with it like a maniac?! I'd be still standing there holding my head. Both my dogs do this, a lot, do they really feel no pain or are they just mental?
  3. Thats the thing, it's fine to say "it doesn't affect me" but as someone who loves dogs don't you care about all the innocent dogs and owners that will be affected? About the fact the government is slowly taking more and more of our dog owning freedoms away?
  4. Point is though, they can decide whenever they like to add pugs or (insert any other breed here) to the restricted list. Sure they may be no urgency right now but these things happen behind the scenes and before you know it, it does affect you.
  5. I agree with what ricey has said. My problems with the RSPCA are in other areas, also as I mentioned they should have to answer to someone.
  6. I only give C3 when I do vaccinate as I've had dogs contract KC after being vaccinated against it so don't see the point. If you board/show I can see why it would be needed though.
  7. Yes, I feel the same. If they don't keep up to date with basic things like this, who knows if they're really competent?
  8. It's very disappointing that so many vets have no clue about this. If we, as owners, know about it, they certainly should!!
  9. I don't believe it's that expensive anymore anyway is it? I've not had it done but I know someone who did and it was a similar cost to the vaccination. Probably depends on the vet though.
  10. My Aussie had a lump at the vaccination site for weeks after. I don't vaccinate them any longer after they've had their 12 month shot.
  11. The problem is they don't really answer to anyone. Doesn't sound good
  12. I'm so happy to read this Kirislin. Isn't that feeling of relief when they seem ok the best?! And little Neko being her crate buddy too cute.
  13. Good to hear Boof had a safe surgery Anne :) sending healing vibes.
  14. Our little Chi cross siblings both lived to 17. Oldest dog I've seen was 21.
  15. Where does everyone get this? I have two itchy dogs I want to try it on but would prefer to not buy online. Would supermarkets have it? Health food shops?
