  1. So true. All the PBs I've met have been just the loveliest, friendliest, happiest dogs :) Glad to hear you have a good council, some of them can be a nightmare :/
  2. Ours couldn't care less, sonetimes if a dog barks or howls they will tilt their heads and listen, but that's it.
  3. Happy birthday Odie, you are altogether tooooo cute
  4. Bahahahaha Lili has made peace with the sound that mineral water makes when opened. She has not, however, been able to come to terms with the Dyson. It is an evil, roaring, sucking monster which is to be avoided at all costs, despite injuries sustained whilst performing mind bending acrobatics to avoid stepping on the cord..... She also still avoids plastic bags, upturned wheelie bins, sky writing (oh yes, what is that appearing in the sky?!?!) and anything new. Mosley doesn't care. About anything.
  5. They don't make money out of educating people.
  6. It looks to be just a game to me too. I have a whinger, if hes asleep on my legs and I ask him to move he grumbles, same if he's on the end of the bed and I ask him to hop off. He will grumble but then does what hes told. Lili is exactly the same. I ask her to get off the bed and she looks at me, grumbles, and gets down
  7. That does sound quite big. My Anatolian x was only about 15kg at 16 weeks (50kg now), I don't know that much about Dobes but to me 16 weeks is still a baby. Sorry I don't really have any advice OP, I everything goes well with your pup.
  8. It's about 29 here, not cool enough to cool the house down yet
  9. I agree :) I don't use crates either, but I think a play pen would be a great idea.
  10. Yes, exactly.I don't think anyone has questioned the breeders right to decide who they sell their pups to. It was the tone of the OP that got people on the defensive. But the tone of the defensiveness was very offensive in some cases. As was the tone of the OP. It goes both ways.

  12. Yes, I agree. It can be really difficult when you're looking for a pup, a lot of breeders websites and ads don't have prices or requirements the potential owner needs to fill. Maybe if more info was upfront lots of these enquiries could be avoided? I don't understand why price seems to be such a secret, people need to know if they can afford the puppy or not.
  13. Thats odd, Nova only smells when he's been in something gross, if he's due for a bath it's only slight. I've heard most Aussies don't have a strong smell Sorry I probably wasn't clear, that's what I mean, she doesn't ever smell, but she has her own smell which is always lovely and clean :)
  14. Doesn't surprise me, it's pretty brutal. I've been down the beach every day this week simply lying in the water as there's no other relief :/
  15. It's interesting, my Anatolian x has a slight doggy smell when hes due for a bath but my Aussie always smells and looks like she's just been bathed. There's definitely differences between breeds :)
