  1. LOL I love the bee costume!! Love the b&w Pic too :D
  2. Ooo they both have the same set of horns! haha I LOVE the witches hat!!
  3. Here's Shyla in her Halloween costume for this week
  4. I'm soo happy he's looking on the mend!!! He's gorgeous
  5. Agreed! I was going to purchase one for Shyla but only so that my small corrections made more of an impression on her and I didn't have to be constantly tugging and correcting on a choker chain that sits too low (cos it has to go over the head to get onto the neck, so on the neck it's looser than I'd like)
  6. It's definitely worth the wait and search if you can I found the breeder I liked for my shepherd and put a deposit down before she was even born! I had her nametag engraved 3 months before she came home :D At the time I felt very impatient and wanted her NOW but I waited for the puppies from the breeder who I liked best
  7. Take it from 1st hand experience recently vets lie. I have everything in detail & their written response is mostly lies. not turned things around, straight out bluntenly lies to cover up their wrong doings. I have to agree I aren't looking for the positives in these stories, I'm sure these vets are dodgy as they come Ohh thats so sad It sickens me that these 'vets' can practise and keep making money when they are making such DEADLY mistakes
  8. What a stressful thread to read and catch up on, thank god it ended on a positive now!! I hope he makes a full recovery and comes home soon
  9. Hmm that makes it hard! Sounds awesome! *googles the islands*
  10. Do you mind me asking what kind of island you live in? It sounds heavenly (just the idea of being on an island )
  11. Hope Cody improves quickly!!!! Hopefully it was just a mild tummy bug
  12. Great to know!!!! If I had shy outside when not home I would definitely go your route with the collar cos she's a shocker outside, good to see they seem to learn from it too!
  13. I hope you mean in your yard and not in your HOUSE! Edited cos I can't Spellll
  14. Not a new puppy who is not used to being alone and feeling anxious I wouldn't think Yep I shifted my girl from having outdoor access (where she would run out there and sit there and bark for ages as soon as we left!) to being locked indoors and in an instant her anxiety seemed to disappear and now she doesn't care when she leaves, she spends the whole time curled up on her leather couch hehe Let me guess - Mum was the Pom?? Frankly for the price of one of these, I think you'd be better off spending the money on a consult with a trainer. Have you considered my suggestion about installing a dog door. Boredom may be a part of the issue but a trainer would be your best bet. I agree money on a trainer would be better... If the barking and crying is from anxiety and fear of you leaving the shock collar isn't going to properly cure it, it could make her anxiety worse even? I'm not totally sure but it doesn't seem right to me to treat it with the shock collar. Have you tried leaving a worn tshirt or jumper of yours on her bed that smells like you?
  15. I agree with this SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!! Desex her and let her live a nice life as a pet without the risks involved with breeding The people you have lined up for puppies may end up rescuing a dog from a shelter or something similar which is a good thing. There are enough puppies on the planet, hundreds killed each day cos there are too many! Leave it to the genuine breeders
  16. Thanks heaps!! I totally forgot about this thread til now sorry for the late reply!
  17. That sucks!!! I have a breakaway collar but it's a boring green one, I wish they had them in more designs (and that people COULD make them) Sucks
  18. I'd leave it to the professionals to collect them if I was the OP! So would I! I wouldn't want to meet those teeth if they do so much damage to lambs and other animals
  19. I hope things are going okay! It sucks when there are dodgy vets out there, and we only get the bill and trust these people assuming they are professionals. I hope you source another vet or get some answers as to why they haven't done the tests they should have
  20. Shyla madly wags her tail when she's carrying her frisbee around. There's moderate tail waggage when we say her name or go up to her, and a bit more when we get home from work - generally though, no I wouldn't say she was a big wagger!
  21. Far out!! My shepherd can spend an 8hr day inside unattended with LOTS of potential chewage, expensive leather couches etc. Imagine your 2 in my house :)
  22. I used it when Shyla hurt her back leg and she did recover, I am sure it helped! It's pharmaceutical grade glucosamaine so a lot stronger than Joint Guard, Sashas Blend etc
