  1. good luck i hope it all works out and you and your dogs can all enjoy your lives together :) do let us know how you go
  2. Rebane same I would get rid of the newcomer and I would have done it a long time ago
  3. Personally I'd be looking to rehome the Neo or even worst case pts as he has bit a human. I think it is horribly unfair to your friendly lab to have been put in that situation at all. I would 100% not let them back together if u prefer to keep the Neo by all means rehome the lab I agree he needs a normal fight free life
  4. kiesha i have to say my boy still jerks me, however when he does i cue his "to bad" and on goes his halti. that stops him pulling me. however i do watch him during the walk and if i see him about to stop i will say "no pee" and he doesnt pee there, but i have to say it at every tree until i let him pee , once he's peed once or twice i can generally stop him easier and he can go for longer with a no pee easily...hope that made sense
  5. Hunny if you are home and your pup barks i fully recommend time outs 100% however im having the same issue but mine are barking when im not home, which has resulted in complaints...so im not to sure how to ammend my situation
  6. my boy loves to mark also, he has a ball when we are out and he also will mark on anything. at home however he is fully housetrained and will not pee in the house at all, we got a new pup a year ago and he never peed in the house on her mistakes unlike your well behaved boy mine will pee in other pples houses and on innappropriate things its an on going battle atm
  7. Hi im looking for a good miniature poodle breeder around brisbane, any help would be appreciated
  8. yes wuffles she did get a bath...been having one a day of late
  9. I never expected to see such a controversial statement on this board. However, you express my views perfectly. yep i agree with you 2
  10. lavendergirl, no the kennels they stay in are sheltered but no they are not locked inside at night, only the luxury suite dogs are luxury apparently raz was barking at night so it was becoming bothersome to the owners who live on site. i dunno if he would bark now he has grown up and calmed down. but i def recommend u visit them they are friendly and super clean and the place is well kept
  11. love seeing pics of your pair ktb here is my mud monster she has moved into our backyard with all this rain
  12. I grew up with a german shepherd...with the best nature, he wouldnt let anyone in our yard. yet my sister and i could crawl all over him. we used to pretend to be his puppies would follow him around on our hands and knees when we went to sleep at the neighbours house (cause they were babysitting) our dog chewed threw the chain wire fence and got into their yard (their staffy and mutt would not go near him) the neighbour let him in her house and he slept in the same room as us till mum and dad got home. after that he would often get out the front and wander the street looking for us until the neighbour would let him in. I loved that dog
  13. I agree with Echo if you have room get a puppy pen for inside and when u cant supervise pop the pup in there, keeps the puppy and the house safe. If my OH would consent i would have done it this time round with my pup too
  14. I dont think i have any one trainer that inspires me I look at youtube vids and go to training classes and it just makes me want to learn and teach and try so much with my doggies like agility and dancing and treiball and just some tricks i shape at home im also inspired to learn as much as i can about dog body language i can thank my behaviourist trainers for that
  15. there is the standard and the luxury suite at barkroyal, you can pay less for the luxury suite and "have a friend" sleep with them, ie they share. or you pay the regular rate and they have the luxury to themselves. not sure about the standard rooms I havent used them yet. but the pple are nice and easy to talk to and its the cleanest kennel i've ever seen!! lol so many on the southside are dirty and run down i just dont want to send my dogs there. Oh also you could try Animal World Pet motel they are at cornubia and park ridge. I had no probs with them they seemed to care about the dogs to, they have luxury suites at their corunbia location. the only prob i had was they dont get put inside at night in the regular runs and raz was getting warnings for barking during the night. if your dogs dont bark then you wouldnt have any problems. I found that place prob the most clean kennel close buy i've seen also. and the dogs are out of their runs in a group yard for most of the day (i really liked that) with supervision of course. i would have no probs taking my 2 bak there
  16. if you are happy to drive u could try http://www.barkroyal.com.au/ down the coast, they are the cleanest kennel i've ever been to, dogs sleep inside, and they have the luxury suites. you can also pay for your pups to have more exercise etc. i used to pay cause in busy periods they only get about 10 mins outside in the morning and arvo, i have working dogs so i paid for some group play sessions. they also do walking and beach trips to i believe. I agree though im struggling to find somewhere nice that i would leave them around brisbane southside
