  1. Do not do anything to someone elses dogs like bang saucepan lids. Boy woould I go you if you did that to my dogs. A nice note would be appropriate but it is not you job to tortue someone elses dogs.
  2. So your dog can sometimes be crated for up to 17 hours. A prime example illustrating my concerns about them being overused. Yes, that is far too long for a dog to be unable to move around. while I would agree on the surface that is too long, if the correct size crate is used, there is plenty of room for a dog to move around in one.

    Dog Coats

really with a pup that age I would just be putting an old windcheater on her, pulling it together around the waist. If you have very basic sewing skills you can make a coat from polar fleece, it doesn't need hemming. It will cost you a fortune if you buy proper made coats for the next 12 months or so.
  4. I've never used a divided crate for any pup, they all go into the full size crate right from the start and I set the alarm for during the night to get up to them before they get upset.
  5. titles, names and numbers as it is often put in the catalogue as well. There is a separate space for numbers. Titles are part of their name, they are on the official rego certificate. But sometimes it does get squishy. You can usually get more in if you do your entries on the computer and then print them out. Is much neater and easier to read as well (at least it is for me, my handwriting is atrocious) Same as I have added 2 different phone numbers and my email address which I could never do if I hand wrote them :D
  6. I'm at chatswood, nsw. Would have to find out the vets that specialist in Greyhounds nearby me soon I'd just stand my ground and say take them out, you're the client. No way I'd let my dog suffer for over a month when there is an easy fix.
  7. Only mentally crushing effect it has on my boy after sleeping in one ALL night is the fact he wasn't allowed on my bed!
  8. Little bit hard to answer actually. I ticked 4+ hours, door always open, handy for house training. Obviously, the door is shut for the house training and/or confinement but on the whole doors are open at all times. It does really depend, in my house, what is happening with what dog and for what reason. But I have two wire crates set up permanently with doors open and dogs free to come and go as they please.
  9. I've been researching for well over 12 months and the Ford Mondeo station wagon is looking the goods to fit in 3 greyhounds.
  10. I've always had to pay for a replacement tag and the dogs have always had to wear their rego tag when off their own property. And this has been wherever I have lived in Victoria for over 35 years.
  11. I like these, my greyhounds are toasty warm outside at night in -zero temps The Wolfs Den
  12. I have no trouble getting Australian only sites on Google.
  13. I use Apple Tree kennels at Chiltern. Cat is there at the moment LOL
  14. I disagree, my dogs are perfectly happy in my bedroom and would love to allowed on the bed 24/7.
  15. Lock the back door with Bruno out for a while, then pop him in your bedroom with door shut while the kids play outside.
  16. with my first dog, way back in 1979, vets in my country town and in Melbourne that my dog went to, advocated a C3 every 2nd year and parvo on it's own in the between years. It slowly evolved to as much as possible every single year along with mutlidose chemicals every month for all sorts of things even if your dogs doesn't have a problem with fleas for example. Pump those chemicals into them!
  17. Unless a greyhound has been through GAP they have to be muzzled in public in Vic. I have never see anything that says Greyhounds are only Greyhounds if they have a tattoo. And of course they are microchipping them now. A Greyhound is a Greyhound and when I get back from the Sydney Royal I will be making further enquires to see if anything has changed.
  18. I couldn't even begin to name all the crap you did all in the name of greyhound rescue so it's a big fat NO from me.
  19. I have no clue what you are going on about with the greyhounds. The two I had when I was on this forum one was adopted and I am facebook friends with her and the dog is very spoiled and in a good home. The other one was also adopted and doing well how that is damaging the breed I do not know. Seems to me that in the last year a few more greyhound rescues have popped up and although they all seem to be full all the time it seems that a lot of greyhounds are being saved, I even referred someone to GAP to get a dog and they did and are very happy with their new dog. So you have me stumped on this one but if that is how you feel so be it I wont ever change your mind. I'll guess it has something to do with muzzles for a start. There was a thread last year where you were quoted from FB. Now that really isn't good enough Happy Camper - how dare you put other people's pets at risk. Fair enough I was going off the info given to me from a greenhound coordinator regarding a puppy. what a load of crock. My greyhounds are clean skins and have to wear muzzles.
  20. Yup I understand and yes their choice and I also understand if they want to not forgive ever not my place to try to force or convince them. 21. plenty of shite and plenty of lies by Grylvr and just cause they changed their name doesn't mean they changed their spots. And we won't even go there about the damage done to my breed.
  22. I like and use the walky dog, never used the springer. Keeps my 35 kilo plus dogs right where they should be. I use it with a harness and still have a lead onto the collar
