My greyhound bitch Fern is one such Princess. Fern is now 6 and 1/2 and at the beginning of every winter we have this battle. She nevers pees in the house though, just holds on for hours and hours, which is not good for her. I have my fingers crossed that this year she may finally remember that I always win

All greyhounds come from the same gene pool, my show bred bitch had a longer pedigree history then my racebred dog. People just took some dogs into a couple of different directions.

Have to get Greytmate or GapVic to answer this one. It's quite rare and does not, AFAIK, exsist in the showbred lines. I hadn't realised it didn't exist in show lines until someone mentioned it in another thread, I had assumed they were part of the old gene pool. Apparently not though. who knows where it has popped up from, not saying it doesn't exsist in the showbred, just never seen or heard of one. It is rare in the racebred of which there are hundreds of thosuands world wide it would be so much rarer in the showlines. I think it is a mutant, same as the white spotted dogs. I think they all go back to the same line as well.

Showpony, is this what you're alking about with the sleeping area? Wanderer Gazebo Hub Dome Tent - 3 person Looks great! Wow that looks handy! Might have to keep that one in mind for sure! I think there is one though that actually sits under the gazebo? (basically encloses the gazebo). Oztrail has one that goes under the gazebo roof, enclosing the whole gazebo

I have only used the walky dog, attached that to a harness and still had a lead attached to the collar as well. Worked well for us.

I remember seeing a program about the Battersea dogs home and they had a grey with the same colouring. At first they thought he may have been mistreated and the white spots were because of scarring but they soon found out it was his actual colour. I've also seen another program or article about the colour but can't for the life of me remember where.

When I had GSD's I used to put a thick coat of vaseline on their ear tips in the morning, lasted most of the day.

It's not the active ingredient you have to worry about IMO but the fact you are double dosing on the heartworm component. So yes, read the all wormer label!

This is what I do also, for my Cavalier me too for the greyhounds, but I give it every 6 weeks Rebanne if I were to give my two the Valueheart I would need to give the 21-40kg one. As Stan is 35kg that seems fine but Maddie is only 25kg so wouldn't that be overkill? Not being a smarty just asking your opinion as a knowledgable greyhound person :) My greys have all been over 30 kilo's so I have no problem giving the larger tablet. I did have a 20 kilo crossbreed that somethimes went over a bit and still gave her the smaller dose tablet and got her weight back to 20 kilos. Hmm I've given Valuehaert tabs forever so am not sure what size dosing others come in. I think they are all around the same size. I'd go with the large one. They would have a wide safety margin.

Whats to ask. The OP was breeding unregistered dogs to make unregistered pups. Nothing more than a byb in my eyes cashing in on a 'rare' colour.

my greyhounds sleep outside at night when I am at work. Warm coats and snug kennels keep them warm in winter.

money is money wherever it comes from and it's money that keeps clubs alive. Slightly different scenario but I will most likely not go to my local show this year. I will have just got back from a week away showing 2 days before and the dogs and I will be exhausted. Tossing up on entering or donating. If I donate they get all my money. If I enter they have to pay out for the VCA levy etc which is less money. -
Dont worry Rebanne, I will take enough video for you that you will feel like you are there :) Cant wait !!!!!!!!!! I will be there Thurs and hopefully Fri you had better!!

My two are booked in as well but not until mid Feb. -
you know sometimes you have to consider the dog above all other things. How can this poor girl be happy? She is under tremendous stress day in, day out. You've done everything you can to help her, maybe now you need to do the hardest thing of all and release her from the pressure of her life.

Umbrella over me, not the dog.

like the others I have been thinking of you TT.

If I bought any dog unseen, I would expect to have discussed all the finer points with the breeder and had a written understanding covering such a situation. You do realise that sh!t happens sometimes and any pup you buy could end up not being 100%? With it not being the fault of the buyer or seller? Just one of those things that happen.

I basically agree with Alkhe but as a breeder I would also be worried about your attitude wanting a discount for a preceived fault. Sorry but I would be wondering what else you would want down the track if things didn't turn out how you think they should. Same amount of effort and money is put into "pet" puppies as show potential ones by most breeders.

I think it's good. Warrior was 9 months in this pic
