  2. agree with both. I too would opt for sooner rather then later. Hugs, it's not an easy time anytime but when they are still young, it's even harder

  6. It was that tie.      when I told Gail, Elmo's owner, that there were lots she said "one for every 10 minutes" and I said more than that
  7. I cam home with 4 in the back of my mazda hatchback so they are certainly compact. Eventingpony they would be too big for one person to put up and take down. The smaller ones would be better for you. I got 2 to put up in the puppy yard seeing as how Fern is having plenty of them , they will need the shelter.
  8. goodo! Someone else with lots of large puppies wrecking their backyard
  9. confirmed by ultrasound - Fern has a bellyful! Vet's best guess was 9, mine is OMG Can't wipe the smile off my face

  13. minor heart murmurs can come and go. My 14 year old had one at around 6. Came and went.
  14. just wash them in my washing machine
  15. I have always heard, over the years, that when feeding a complete dry food, then any extra's added to it can unbalance the diet/upset the ratio's and that feeding raw and dry together is a no no cause they are digested at different rates. Is any of this true, I have no idea, I have fed dry and raw together but usually used to feed it as seperate meals. I feed only dry now, with the occasional marrow bone during the week. Sometimes they get an egg or some sardines added to the dry but it's usually just dry food and now it's colder, with hot water poured over it.
  16. It is quite possible for the pup to have been in perfect health when sold with the murmur appearing later but as the pup was not examined properly by the owners vet who knows when it did appear? Maybe the breeders vet did miss it, it's possible. But the owners vet, by not bothering to carry out a basic examination when presented with a unknown pup, has done the owners no favours. According to the OP diagnosis was around the 6 month mark, 4 months after the pup was purchased, if pup went to new home at 8 weeks, which seems likely seeing as how pup had 2 vaccinations with new owner. And no vet check at either VCA can say what they want, this is between the breeder and the owner.
  17. Some murmers can and do just appear and they can go away. Can be caused by a simple infection that an owner might not even notice. Had it happen to one of mine when she was around 5 or 6, wasn't there on any vet checks, was suddenly there on one vet check, gone the next. Granted it was only a mild one but even the more serious can pop up later in life.
