  1. I've had 2 kidney stones, both with very minor symptoms. The specialist told me that I won the award for the biggest stone that year with my second one. And we all know having a kidney stone is supposed to be akin to giving birth.
  2. My parents had a peke who had an eye removed because of a rose bush. No prosthetic. I used to nurse a woman with a prosthetic eye and yes needed daily maintenance. I don't know about dogs but hers was removed every night and replaced every morning. I wouldn't bother with a prosthetic.
  3. One thing they said was 15 generations which I think is a mistake. There would be nearly 40 generations seeing as how it happened in 1986. There is so much life surviving and may I say thriving around Chernobyl, it's fascinating
  4. Exercise and cut her food slightly. Make sure the pups are not suckling from her
  5. I'll send you a message LG ETA Can't send you messages, can you send me one please. Do you have messenger because that's where I have all my info
  6. we have tried a drug that is off label, so far off label it might have come from the moon. Just dribbled over the problem area and it has made a big difference in only 3 treatments. I was put onto this drugs use by a lady from overseas who has an Iggy plagued by the same things and even one in the same area. I am not prepared to name it publicly and will not share with everyone who asks privately. I'm just glad my vet trusts me.
  7. Great discussion with the vet, of biggest concern is that it has already grown back. So a plan of management and when we can't stop the bleeding well...............................arrangements have been made. Warrior was quite shaky in the back legs, of course he sleeps a lot at home, so I hadn't really noticed. He can still get on my bed which is most important to us both.
  8. Surgery went well, removed 3 of the things. But one has come back. First noticed it Sunday evening. Going to the vet this afternoon. Has already leaked a bit of serous fluid. I can cope with that but not with a bleed that won't stop. I have a list of questions to ask. Warrior is otherwise fine for an older dog.
  9. Communication is a 2 way street. If you see something you like then make an enquiry
  10. I have no idea what size a NERD? is Try a proper butcher if it's a common meat. Sometimes they will mince stuff for you.
  11. I would think allergies are under illness
  12. I'd be very careful with Bravecto on your pregnant girl. I'd treat the other 4 and then separate for 24 hours. I would use the ear drops on her.
  13. I took all my pups out and about but in the car. We'd park at the supermarket and watch all the people or up the main street. Cause I showed my dogs right from the start ( 3 months) they met a lot of people and a few dogs. I was very selective of who my pups met, dog wise, not because of possible disease but more the temperament.
  14. Have a look at McDowells herbal remedies. https://www.mcdowellsherbal.com/
  15. well done! They look so good and healthy. You did a great job. Consider keeping them to 10 weeks if they are still being a bit fussy re feeding themselves
  16. when he does use a pad leave it under a clean one, the smell should help him go there again. Also when you think it's time for him to go put him on the pad and use a word like toilet or wee etc. 3 month is very young and it will be a while before he is toilet trained, you need to help him get the idea.
  17. agree with Persephone. Stop feeding them yourself and leave Mum with them but make sure she can leave if she wants to. A little bit of hunger won't hurt them. I'd also try raw mince and see how they go.
  18. No, just feeling a bit sensitive this morning. Unless there are photo's of dogs in condition equal to the the condition of the yard
  19. Couldn't read it all, too stomach churning
  20. Or Easy Thumbnails. I've used the free version for nearly as long as there have been personal computers https://www.fookes.com/easy-thumbnails
  21. whilst I wouldn't breed from this bitch again I would give her a break as this litter has not been easy on you or her. There are codes of practice that need to be followed if you were a registered breeder. I strongly urge you to get both dogs health tested before breeding them again and I mean proper health tests for the breed/s not just the all clear from the vet. https://www.orivet.com/ I'm not sure what the laws are in NSW but in Victoria you could be liable for the pups up until they are 3 years old, for certain things. Regardless of if you are a registered breeder or not. I am glad everything turned out ok in the end
  22. My vet said that food allergies are more likely to upset things internally then externally. We were discussing my itchy girl and the vet had not long done a 12 month course, I think it was, and that was the latest thinking.
