  3. Thanks Kirislin, love some of the Iggy ones :D
  4. Oh, so sorry indigirl, you will miss Chilli so much Thinking of you
  5. From what I understand (happy to be corrected :) ), by adding fibre, eg unprocessed bran or grated carrot, to your dog's food, it helps to add bulk to their poo, which helps to empty the anal glands as it's passed.
  6. at Erny My Iggy had problems a year or two back with an anal gland abscess, but there is no way you would be confused about that. It came up out of the blue almost instantly and then proceeded to burst, poor little thing. The vet operated to clean it out and tried to convince me to have them removed. I have read that there can sometimes be complications, eg possible incontinence. I now sometimes add grated carrot or bran to their food and have had no further problems, just hope it doesn't reoccur.
  7. So happy for the boys, they look fantastic!!! Such amazing progress with all the good care and love they have been receiving. Thanks for the updates and all the terrific photos. :) Well done to everyone involved
  8. Thanks for the great updates dogmad and indigirl. I'm so happy to see the boys looking so snug and relaxed. Ella is doing a great job. I'm sure you will tell her and also how much we are loving her photos :) I still get teary when I think of what they've been through, but to now see them getting such good care and read of their gradual recovery is heartwarming. I also wish I could give them some cuddles and kind words, sending healing vibes :)
  9. So heartbreaking dogmad. I'm glad you and your lovely foster carer can now nurse them back to good health.
  10. Wow Kirislin, that is fantastic You must be thrilled. One of your many beautiful photos, but an extra special one. She has done an amazing job.
  11. Fabulous photos as usual, Kirislin Thanks for a great day. :D It was a lovely setting. I hope the Whippet people don't mind all us Iggy people muscling in, :) but it's such fun and as you know, I love seeing all your beautiful Whippets and watching them run, as well as catching up with everyone.
  12. Thanks Cougar. :) I couldn't resist, ordered 2. Surely my angelic little Iggies wouldn't dream of tearing these apart -- here's hoping :D
  13. So very sorry you have lost Ryan I love reading about all the beautiful Whippets. You will miss him terribly.
  14. Such beautiful dogs. At least they now will get to enjoy being loved and cared for.
  15. OOh, I'm so happy for you!! I've been telling my friends up there how distressed you've been. They will be so happy for you and Cindy. Tears of joy for you :D
  16. I have let my friend in Buderim know. She and her daughter will keep a lookout and tell other friends. Do hope Cindy is home safe and sound very soon.
  17. I am always on the lookout for a safe, fully fenced area to take my 3 Iggies for a play. I take them to KCC occasionally. I was so pleased to read your post a while back, RubyBlue, about the new park, Aranga Reserve in Donvale. Thankyou!! :D We have been there several times and the dogs love it. As well as the very large oval area, there is a lovely small dog area with trees and shrubs, which my dogs love exploring. I was so excited to find such a terrific secure area where they can run and chase at great speed and I can relax.
  18. Happy Birthday Puck and Tag such beautiful Whippies.

  20. So sorry to read about your loss of Cindy. How devastating for you. Sending best wishes. (We met last year at an oval in Donvale -- daughter and I and our Iggies had an enjoyable stroll around with you, your friend and dogs.) So sorry also to Jules P, Pretty Miss Emma and Gayle K.
  21. Hi Steve, Maybe the kids are doing this to get out of work  I would be very happy to get you some needles and post them to you express today. Just let me know what type. 60k's is a bit far to go!!
  22. Congratulations, just beautiful Hope Fern is feeling better.
  23. I made a frantic call to the emergency vet late one night at Christmas when I discovered my 5kg Iggy had eaten 30g of milk chocolate. They advised that up to 55g for her weight would be ok, over that it would be necessary to take her in. I was worried, but she was fine, with no sign of any ill effects
