  1. He won't let me near the metal welder because he is scared I will burn his factory down and injure myself (not unreasonably either ).
  2. My poor harrased dad has 5 more jumps, a dog walk, finish the broad jump, tunnel stop things and weave metal things on his list...
  3. Amypie excited for Wednesday? I am semi considering scratching Toby. He will be going so great and then I do something crazy like consider entering him in Novice Jumpers and he decides to become forgetful! I am thinking the first trial will be States or May 24th when I also have Lincoln in a confirmation show!!! (Anyone else showing on May 24th that can text me when Weimeraners are on? Lincoln will be Minor then.... how scary!!!)
  4. What is the special clas number for baby puppy sweepstakes?
  5. Good advice Ellz! I will be moving up to Minor in May.
  6. Thanks for the suggestions Ellz! I totally forgot about the clothes and just went in what I had been in at work. But next show I will make an effort to wear grey. Thats reassuring about the speed!
  7. Ok a question, in the group ring Chessies are first up and we have the Am Cockers and Cockers behind, so smaller dogs. Now I did the 'Are you ready" thing to make sure the person behind was ok for me to move off and the judge wanted us all around togther. Now I decided to move Lincoln just about as slow as I could get away with so I didn't shoot out way infront of the Cockers (which I still did), but I am asking what should I do in these circumstances? Here is a video of last night: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aXuWq6lFhU
  8. I would be up for Gero but if we are carpooling in a manual I will be no help. :D
  9. Chesapeakes will be VERY interesting because the lady who owns the Chesapeakes that normally take out all the breed and class results is judging. So we will see different dogs put up.
  10. My 13 year old (the end pic of the sig) is not well at the moment and I have basically had her almost as long as I can remember (got her at 7). She has a respiratory infection but seems to be coming through. In 2008 we lost our BC x Jack at 5 years old and in his prime in a tragic accident. I was the one who had to make the decision to pull life support after we were told the slim chance of survival would mean loss of mobility as he had spinal injuries. I was only 17 at the time and I was shocked, traumatised and VERY upset. I would just cry for months afterwards for no reason and when I think of carrying his limp body out of the vets it still makes me cry. My mum can't even look at border collies. But you do find it in you to overcome the tradegy. However when my 13 year old goes I will be sad but not devestated, she has had a long and good life. She has been treated like a queen and shown love. She has been allowed to age gracefully and she will be taken for natural reasons. I will make the decision again when I have too because the greatest responsibility we have as owners is knowing when to let our dogs make a dignified exit. But I wish Pepe to get will and give you more good days!
  11. Bout 4 and half hours drive from Adelaide - sometimes less. A bit far just to see the suburb my deseased uncle used to live!
  12. I am tempted if I get a new job as my breeder will most likely be there and it is in thier opinion the best Royal to go to.. I also want to go to SA for personal reasons, is Whyalla far from Adelaide?
  13. I have never had these issues at obidience class. I have had a bad expirience with someone scaring Lincoln then making it worse by crowing him until he got really anxious and growled (this is a 12 week old puppy at the time). I then had this person tell me that Lincoln should be 'sent back' or 'locked away'. They then badmouthed Lincoln to people including one I know who told me about it.
  14. Its a US website. It probably can be made for cheaper over there.
  15. http://www.instantagility.com/ Great link for PVC equipment!
  16. You can play any region dvd on a Sony DVD player. I buy dvds from the states all the time.
  17. No (I have turned quite usless) because Lilly is unwell with a respiratory infection and I have the assesment for a First Aid course tomorow so I need to cram! Rubystar you could go down to Gero to not get passes in agility AND obidience I am just joking of course (even though I was considering entering Toby in CCD just to fill the time till agility starts)! I would drive but I am not sure how well Ruby and Toby will do in a confined space togther for all that time.
  18. I want to join WAClick but still dont know how.
  19. I was born in Bunbury and half my family live there. Never been to Gero. Would love to do the show and go (damn work!) If I wait until me and Toby are decent we might never make it!
  20. Showing/Agility/Obidience (I might be going for the first two if other people are going)
  21. Hmmm I might if its on at a good time. I work 5-9 so if its late afternoon/evening I probably can't go. I am treating next Wednesday like a practice run!
  22. But make the collage photo in the shape of Australia! What a good idea Tassie!
  23. When Toby was in a cast that young the vets didn't clip his nails in between cast changes, it sounds stupid but the pressure ended up making his dew claw dig into his flesh and he now has a splayed foot and nails that over a year on I still have trouble getting to a decent length.
  24. Just wrote to them. Do you think you will be going? It will be much easier then going all the way to Southern River and back. If you fill in the form on their website they'll email you and send you out a membership pack. I got an email straight away and the lady was very helpful.
