Esky the husky replied to MsKatie's topic in General Dog Discussion
Sounds like a plan How many of us have those Bunnings compost panels? If we all bring them along maybe we can segregate an area should any people want to have a wine picnic -

If Your Dog Was A Band Or Pop/rock Artist
Esky the husky replied to SkySoaringMagpie's topic in General Dog Discussion
Esky would be George Michael; I always walk in on her after she's locked herself in the bathroom. Idiot -
Look how cute his mask is :D *squee* Hey Dju, I know you and your mum are concerned about him being skinny etc. Pups go through a stage called the ganglies or the uglies. This is when they are starting to grow a bit, they become all leggy, look skinny and weird. All kinds of things happen. It's like going through puberty. When Esky hit that age, she looked like a starved whippet. It was hard to keep weight on her. She was definately not undernourished or anything. Just going through on of those ugly patches.\ It's a normal process. If you've been following the growth of any of the lappies eg Alera, Fable, Ella in the Spitz thread you would have seen what I mean.

Why are you clipping his nails so frequently.? Esky is 1 and never had her nails clipped.

Make training appealing to people. Make it seem fun, easy and rewarding. If there is one thing that I notice time and time again it's people giving up because things are too hard. You could have television advertisements/ spots whatever you want to call them. Showing you how to train sit in 30 seconds A company like purina or pedigree or whoever could sponsor it.

What breeders need is a voice, a face. A person out there in the media, oosing with charisma getting the word out there about pedigree dogs. There's the Burke , Dr Harry and That Bondi dude. But who is out there for the breeders?

Not sure how keen the money grubbing pet shops would be on giving up their sales though. I think we really need to hammer home the message that a dog is a family member, not a spur of the moment purchase. And they should research what would suit their needs. I think the meet the dogs days would help

Stop The Use Of Pound Animals For Experiments At Queensland University
Esky the husky replied to DMA's topic in In The News
If nothing else these pound dogs are serving a greater purpose. Helping our future vets save lives. IMO it allows them to die with dignity -
Yes! I'm not sure how much I would pay. I guess between $350 and $500 is the price range I'd expect.
