So i'm just walking to the end of my road with my dogs ,when i see a guy with 2 staffy's and behind him is a child with the biggest ball of fluff ever  I ask them what sort of dog it is and he tells me its his new Tibetan mastiff pup and only 14 weeks old, its already the size of the small staffy! We chatted for a while, the pup came from Tassie, its so laid back ,it just sat chilling out, said hello to Bonn my BT, and then refused to budge to go home  I have never seen one in the flesh before, but way cute! will get to see it lots i hope, they live in the next street.

Ot, but i was looking for heritage type houses the other day and there are lots in Williamstown ( my daughter wants us to move to Melbourne), just too cold for me though  Have a great daY!

There are lots of petstores at the market, all alongside each other, the others all sell pets, the one i use doesn't. Its hard to work it out as they seem to run into each other, but its the one on the outside wall on the corner, the one directly opposite has cages of pups

To be honest, you are better off contacting breeders now, there maybe a wait list, so if you find a breeder you like they can tell you if they have any due then.

I buy all my flea/heartworm online, way cheaper, i use Budget pets, arrives the next day too. I use Petstock for dogfood, and the petshop at Seven hills for raw mince etc. If i want big things, Parklea markets, the petshop there ( the only one that doesn't sell pups), has a huge range of beds, crates ,kennels all top quality, and cheap stuff for pups to destroy, and much cheaper than anywhere else. :)

Are There Any Private Dog Exercise Areas

I board my dogs there, and it is a great paddock, too far for me to go everyday though. -
i agree Raineth with everything, only i do think the 2 bull breeds were very much in danger of doing damage to each other later. Male dominant with up and comming female, give it 6 months and she may well be not letting him dominate her The whole thing had no relavance to their problems.

Any news DR? -
I didn't mention the children, i said his whole setup. No way would i give any active breed to a family with a tiny house with a concrete courtyard, and first time dog owner. Its why so many breeds end up in the pound, wrong dog for situation.

Are There Any Private Dog Exercise Areas
juice replied to Odin-Genie's topic in General Dog Discussion
Wouldn't it be a great idea to have 5/10 acres that you could pay to use daily, few tree's, dam, bunnies to chase  I would happily pay to amble around talking to myself peacefully for an hour. -
Yes the owners wife did come out and stop the attack, but if you looked there was a really brief shot during the attack of the house where they were both stood watching, it then went back to the attack,i think they were just in shot as the cat ran that way. Just an excuse to see different trainers in different places really. Lets give 2 idiots well trained dogs to work with instead of lets teach them how to deal with their dogs, and rehome them! I wouldn't give him a husky to live like that.
-
what a waste of time, the girl will never be a strong enough leader for those 2 dogs and it will end badly. The poor husky being kept in a concrete yard. The scene with the cat was horrible, how much longer were they going to let the dogs attack it for the camara, the couple were in the background on the verandah watching, wtf! Watching the dogs work was great, but really didn't address the reality. The alpha roll wasn't great to watch either.
-
Walk maybe more appropriate, she can't run  She is an x breeding bitch from a breeder, solid as a rock temp wise, only had her 18 months :D
-
No worries, wasn't you either . Bit touchy this week, so just ignore me
-
Stand in hp any day and watch all the trainers drop off their entire greys by the bucket load Why would they desex them first and spend money, the reason they get dropped at the pound is its cheaper than paying to have them killed.
-
Fair enough, it wasn't really aimed at you anyway, just a bit narky at a blatant plug for another business for no reason.
-
I buy most of my stuff oversea's, either online or my mum brings it every couple of months, or i bring it back. I buy all my kids clothes, shoes, homewares etc. There is no valid reason we pay so much more over here and i won't do it. I don't see why i should pay $50 for a surf brand t shirt here i can buy there for $8! I posted so others could see them, i don't need the moral brigade telling me i should buy here.
-
My worry would be they might bait the dogs Is there any way you can make the fence's higher so they can't look over? I presume electric fencing is illegal? perhaps set up a camara too?
-
I was dubiuos too at the price, but they are top quality , same as the tags ,handmade on etsy for $14. This country just over charge's for everything.

If Money Wasn't An Issue, What Would You Have?

You don't need energy to own a bully, in fact mine sleeps almost 24/7  One of the reasons i will always own one, not that big to handle and lazy to walk, as long as you can play tug you are fine :D You do need to be a strong leader though. I would like to hae the space to build a dogrun too ,like Teebs so i can rescue a bully at a time aswell. -
I like Ruthless leather too, but Karma collars were $50 ( Ozzie's)and martingle's $66 , compared to $175 each. They are cowhide, handmade with a lifetime guarantee, made by a couple who rescue and rehome pitbulls. Should mention the pics are the wrong way round, Appollo is the dally. :)

Nope, he was before i knew better ,as a pup 12 years ago from a byb. He has been a rock, solid temp with every foster i have had, and still an avid bunny chaser
-
Not bad for an old duffer is he

I used to think i wanted lots of land, but as i have gotten older i decided as long as the dogs can do zoommies ( they can't here), and i can have room for a lap pool and potter around the garden thats enough. A smaller house ,not a mc mansion like now,( old heritage), a verandah to sit on, again i thought i wanted to be in the middle of nowhere, but now i want a nice little town or suburb to people watch  Dogwise, no different, always a BT, and Cattle, and a stag/grey. -
Karmacollars.com. postage from the USA for all 3 was only $16, and they are really helpful with colours and style', they made 2 of them martingales for me. I really like Ozzies star one its a lovely deep red. The tags were from a shop on etsy.
