  1. Awww thank you Persephone :) I need that, Coopie is asleep at the moment but I will smooch him from you
  2. Hi all, I took my 10 month old German Shepherd to the vet today as he has been limping on his front right for a couple of days. The vet wanted to do xrays so I asked him to do hips as sometimes Cooper bunny hops when running around. Well the news is severe hip dysplasia and he has sent the xrays off to Melbourne Vet Specialist Center and we should hear back next week. He is talking at least one Total Hip Replacement. He could not straighten his left leg out for fear that hip would pop out. I have sent an email to the breeder for her info. But I guess at this stage I am just wanting to hear any experience with this in a pup so young. To say I am devastated is to put it mildly. Cooper has had elbow Hygromas since he was 11 weeks old and has had both elbows operated on to put drains in so he hasn't had a 'proper' puupyhood Thanks in advance.
  3. This has just happened here. My foster had his C5 and then came down with Kennel Cough, my pup Cooper had no coughing but so much green nasal discharge it was unreal. They both have a secondary infection. Antibiotics for both, oh and today my cat went to the vet for the same thing
  4. There was a place in the Glasshouse Mountains that used to sell it (a holistic place?)but I'm sorry I can't recall the name of it and I just checked the Artemis site and it is not listed. I had some freighted up to the sunny coast from a vet in Brisbane. http://www.artemispetfood.com.au/where-to-buy/queensland/
  5. I am so very sorry Keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers.
  6. They look fantastic! A real credit to all those involved
  7. Oh no Keeping everything crossed here for both your boys.
  8. Thank you all so very much, I really appreciate it I guess it's as I feared...I need to find time to play around and learn how to use my camera  My first SLR was totally manual (the camera is 44 years old now)but since I went digital I have been so lazy with auto. Thanks all again, I will have a play :)

  10. Hi all, I have a Nikon D90 and haven't really got the time to learn how to use it properly *blush* so in sports mode it used to take brilliant shots. Now they are not at all sharp. If anyone has an idea for this plonker, I would really appreciate it thank you :) From a while ago and then from today
  11. Sorry to go OT, but wow you have already made amazing progress with him! And he is simply divine
  12. It's a small world hey! Thank you :) Off to read your blog, that is a great idea by the way!
  13. Brilliant timing for this thread as I am getting my first foster tomorrow and he is a Kelpie! I will be really interested in the replies you get. My dogs are inside and have free rein of the house but I will crate Wonka in our bedroom at night. That's the plan anyway! I won't let him on the furniture for the reason you said, I think it would be harder to re-train for the future. I haven't even met Wonka yet but seeing a couple of pics and hearing about him, I am already dreading letting him go!
  14. My cats are both 16 and while they have CRF and one has cancer and only one eye and the other is blind, they are stll going strong. My parents had to PTS their cat Millie is Feb and she was one week away from 21.
  15. Oh no Keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers *hugs*.
  16. This, although in my pups case, Hygromas. Just had 60mls of fluid drained from his elbow today I've ordered some Ruff Wear boots to stop him slipping.
  17. Adding my good thoughts for your sweet Penny *hugs*.
