  1. Does Stan get to take his oven with him? he's over the oven now he has discovered that big white cold cupboard full of food...if only he could work out those damn fridge locks.
  2. Mine either Sheena. I can't get my head around that they can't digest both raw & dry.
  3. That's a lovely coat the spotted devil One of the nicest I have seen :) Winners are grinners :D Your Dally looks very proud of that big achievement & rightly so.
  4. IMHO as others have said the bottom is whatever works best for your dog :)
  5. I have always feed raw + dry together. IMHO then they are getting the best of both worlds. For my raw I mix beef, chic, turkey mince all human grade. I also add egg yolks, sardines & a little cottage cheese. Mix all that together & they have roughly a handful mixed through their dry food. Then on top I add some Sprint Oil & 1 teaspoon of Augustines Superboost. One small brisket bone daily. I was having a lot of trouble with my guys coats & over all I just wasn't happy with their condition. So with help from experienced people on DOL who were kind enough to share their knowledge, I tweaked with their diet & changed their dry food to grain free. Now I'm wrapped. Their coats look great, very shiny & theyhave wonderful muscle definition :)
  6. Many years ago I used to feed lamb shanks, & they were 50 cents each. So it was a very long time ago. Then a very experienced breeder advised me never to feed weight bearing bones like shanks as they do splinter & can cause serious problems internally. She advised Brisket bones. So have followed her advice.
  7. Iv'e already posted on another thread but I wanted to say Great Job again Staffyluv Ziggy looks as happy with himself as you are proud !!!!! Well done guys.
  8. Sonny,my boy is the same as Erik corvus & gets very frustrated after only short training sessions. He screams, yelps & barks at me out of frustration if he doesn't get it down very quickly. He then goes through all the tricks he knows, one after the other  I can't figure him why??? but he does. Where as Stella will train, train & train if I allowed her to without a glimpse of frustration. With her if it's work, bring it on... she loves it & is totally focused on it & the bait of course  Every dog is different. If it is working Staffyluv & it sounds like it is, I wouldn't worry IMHO. Well done SL I just read about your success. First YA !!!! I wouldn't be changing anything. Great job :)
  9. Thanks Jess, just out of interest really as I can't find any feedback online anywhere as yet. I am always very wary when trying new dry food now after it has taken my a very long time to get my boys coat back in condition after I was using one particular dry food. Having said that I do like to give variety if possible. toshman, we certainly don't need that
  10. Our training sessions are only 5 mins at a time at the max , same Kavik but usually less. Any longer & the moment is gone. I like to finish each session while they are still "keen" & looking for more.
  11. Poor little pooche just can't imagine the trauma the owners must be going through. Aweful... Everything crossed here for Cyan.
  12. Awww... How beautiful. Happy tears now. Thanks for taking the time to share such a precious pic with people like me who don't do facebook haredown W :)
  13. Oh wonderful news with 1 CC to go. Not familiar with the area but sounds very dangerous, hwy & train lines close by.... Not to mention natures elements. Hope the last one is found very soon.
  14. Good point Rostetta & one I honestly didn't think about. I always think it would be so good to find a "forever home". Not what happens if they don't It would be a lot of trauma even for a perfect dog with no aliments let alone one that has..... to not be able to hear OR see....
  15. We do a small mince ball here & the tablet is hidden inside. Tried P. butter but we lick all p. butter off & spit the tablets straight out again  little bugger.
  16. The only time I followed the directions on a dry food bag I noticed a very quick weight gain. Never again, I go by how the dog is going. Feel his ribs & not see them. Keep a close eye on his condition & moniter progress. You will be able to work out how much to give him. Every dog is different :)
  17. Just wanted to give this thread a bump to see if anybody is giving the Oso pure Salmon variety a try & how are their guys going on it??? :D
  18. Poor fella. So sad, especially when in every other way he sounds like such a lovely dog If he could find the 'right' person with a lot of time to spend with him here's hoping.
  19. Glad to help Stitch. I so hope they do help your girl out like they seem to be helping mine. Good luck with her, if you get a chance let us know how she gets on :)
  20. Love this idea... I bet the silence will be deafening...
