You are very fortunate then. Both breed some gorgeous dogs. That is my goal with my 2 BC 's is to get into agility. Looks like so much fun.

Yes Dancinbcs, Sonny has got very woolly pants especially. I use a Coat King once every 2 to 3 months or so to thin them out & a rake at least once a week to keep them half decent. He is thoroughly brushed daily which also helps :)

Very cute Stans mum. Aren't Greys funny :)

Beautiful Borders Agility Dogs :)

This exact thing happened to my boy on BH. I swapped him over to grain free Earthborn Holistic & within a very short time his skin & coat improved dramatically. He hasn't looked better. I make my own Barf as well which includes a mixture of Roo, Beef, Chic, sardines, yogurt & egg's. I also add Omega 3,6&9 + vit. E to every meal :)

Yes I agree I noticed a big change in Sonny's coat after being neutered. It thickened up considerably & it's not as silky/straight as it was previously.

Oh yes I remember seeing him. Poor boy was in a dreadful, neglected mess WOW !! He looks wonderful & So much more happy & confortable. Lucky boy & thanks for sharing :) hearing stories like this makes my day. You have made his day as well. He will make someone a wonderful friend :) -
I don't clip my guys as BC's have a double coat & it is their insulator against all the elements including heat. So lucky for me I love grooming :) However I do live in a bad tick area which is very worrying. So I am really liking the sound of this belly clip as they apparently keep all their top coat which is great & would help me in my constant tick " feel" which is a must. Trouble is I am at a loss to find a descent, knowlegeable & trustworthy groomer in my local area. If anyone does know of one would greatly appreciate a pm :)

I too have never seen a BC' s coat grow back after a full clip nicely either. Quite a few people clip their Borders in my local area & not one of them have got a " normal" coat. They look pretty shabby really. Which is a shame.

Glad to hear he is on the improve. And no nasty health surprises at the Vets. Hope he continues to improve when you very gradually change his diet :) -
What a beautiful, keepsake gift. Awesome !!

I feel exactly the same Aussie3 & am too a ridiculous softie at heart. I pretty much always walk both my guys together as I can't bare the thought of leaving the other one at home when I know how much they want to be with us. I just feel like I'm being cruel. Know it is totally stupid but..... I still do a light bit of training with each of them while we are out. Just tie one up while I am training the other. I am extremely fortunate these days to have a spare 2 to 3 hours a day to spend with Sonny & Stella. We go for long walks. 6 to 7 km's. Go swimming. Basically hang out together & have lots of fun :)

I love the Earthborn holistic for Zig, he has done really well on it. But being a bit fussy, will now only eat it out of his treat ball, lol.. So I put his half a cup of kibble into the treat ball morning and night, then he carts it around and drops it, sending the kibble bits scattering all over the place so he can chase them all down. He also gets roo, beef, chicken or barf patties at dinner.. Sardines, cottage cheese, egg and lamb or beef ribs and chicken carcasses to change it up.. Liver treats always give Zig runny or soft poo as well, so we limit those. Glad to here Zig also does really well on EBH Staffyluv. We love it here too. Zig is on the exact same diet as my guys, even down to a little cottage cheese etc :) -

Geez airlock. I wouldn't try anything else new until your Vets visit then. Some tests might shed some light on what is going on. Good luck & keep us posted. -
I thought the same of the rat - terrier as well. Most Husky's I have seen have similar body language to the boy in this clip. Very intense & focused. Body is very rigid.

Such a worrying time for you & all concerned. Poor puppies I hope the Vets can find out whats going on asap. Thoughts are with you.

What pers said..... I had a few tummy issues with my boy as a younster. Let his tummy settle for a few days on boiled chic & pumpkin. Then gradually added Earthborn holistic dry food & home made barf. Plus a meaty bone & he thrived . Full of energy. Beautifull shiny coat & yard pick up is firm /minimal. The thing is with a premium kibble you don't need to feed the same quantity as a cheaper one & you get miles better results. I only feed my boy half a cup per day along with his barf. So a bag lasts me ages. I always measure it out with a cup. I never just guess & I dont go by the feeding guidlines on the pack. Just monitor the way your dog is going. Making sure you can feel his ribs but they aren't visable. Is his coat looking shiny & how is his energy levels. You may have to try a few different brands to find one that suits him. But IMHO well worth the trouble . -
I watched about 18 seconds of that poor little dog trying to get away and constantly seeking help from his owner who just sat there like a stupid numbskull. All I could think of (meaning the owner) was, "Bloody bitch should have that dog taken away from her." My thoughts exactly. I'm thinking just pick up the poor little dog before he becomes Mr Husky lunch

I have never heard of Dog Pro dry food. May be the first thing I would look at changing going by that ingredients list. Being very "cheap" I can't imagine them putting very good quality ingredients in it. I would look at changing that asap. as well. -

Yes same here with the liver treats. I'd forgotten about the side effects of them as I stopped using them ages ago. My boy loves them but they don't love him. I use cooked chic or something like that for bait now.
