  1. Way to go Hank !! Well done boy...Hankdog congrats on such positive progress. Jake has certainly come a long way. It's a wonderful feeling when you have sucess teaching them something. Especially with our " special" guys as you always have to give them that bit extra. Good luck with your Vet visit. Sending positive, calm thoughts your way :)
  2. Sonny is the same with Labradors. He is a very good/non reactive boy 99% of the time but he doesn't tolerate most Labradors. Yellow ones in particular. Have no idea why. Maybe they are too full on for him, I don't know. Strange isn't it.
  3. I groom both my guys daily too. I find it is easier for me. Takes 10 mins tops. They are so used to it. As soon as they see me with my grooming bag they are at the table. One is on it & the other is sitting next to it waiting for her turn :)
  4. I'm late as well. Happy belated Birthday wishes to you Miss Maddy. Hope you had an awesome time pretty girl devouring your meat pie. So nice of you to share it with your bro Stan :)
  5. Apparently you have to wait till the dog is dry before you put the collar back on. If anyone is interested I brought 2 Scalibor collars the other day but am unable to use them in conjunction with Advantix. So if anyone would like to buy them just pm me. I have opened one but neither have been used. I love the look of them, they are really thin & best of all, they don't smell at all.
  6. Hershy is a sweet little guy. Poor fella has been pretty neglected by all accounts. Not handled at all for long periods of time coupled with painful mats in his fur as a result. Then he gets handled for a clip which leaves him in more pain. No wonder he is having issues. I'm another who would take things very slowly with him. No clippers just yet, just a soft brush & plenty of his favourite treats. Start off with only one brush stroke on his fur & treat, verbal praise then repeat. End session. Next session 2 or 3 strokes, treat & verbal praise praise praise. No sudden movements. All calm energy around him. Patience is key IMHO. Excellent post Sagittarian. Some really good ideas from someone who is obviously very experienced :)
  7. Hank is adorable. Growing up really fast. He is maturing beautifully ♥
  8. Oh she is just adorable. Well done !
  9. Thats so funny & very cute. Grey's are such cuddle pots aren't they.... Loved it!! Thanks for sharing Stans mum
  10. Tick search.....again. My SIL missed a tick after days of searching her Havanese Lola .Found the hidious culperit right up under stopper on front leg. Just a spot sometimes missed. Thought it worth a mention.
  11. Psychic powers. Sheesh guys! No I think it was a double post with a delay in the middle. I think... Yep sorry folks I accidently double posted & tried to delete one but for some reason there was a delay in between.
  12. Congrats on lovely Rosie. She looks a lovely girl. Seems to have made settled in VERY WELL too if lying bot to bot on the couch is any indication LOL....Enjoy :)

  14. Thoughts are with you at this most difficult time Jelly. October 14th you are giving your girl Roo her wings. You have given her all you. Your very best. No one knows her better than you & if her quality of life is severely compromised by her anxiety levels.... The beautiful photo of you both says it all IMHO. Take care of you.
  15. I'm another Hankdog who can sympathise totally with you. I have had some shockers at the Vet's with Stella. It is just so unnerving & it does seem once one thing happens on a bad day it has a huge domino effect & things go from bad to worse once they are in a "hightened" state of arousal Hopefully he won't of suffered to much from it for next Vet visit I'm another to say good on you for bush walking after all of that. I would have gone home for a stiff drink I think.
  16. I have never been to a formal class so I didn't know there was a "right" order your feet had to go I did know they had to be parallel though which is a start I hope  So I will have to put that in the memory bank. Thinking about it , I naturally do draw to a stop on my right foot as it just feels more comfortable.
  17. Ever so sorry for your loss R.I.P. Titan. Run free now boy
  18. Oh no..... this doesn't sound good.... hell
  19. Sonny is my bird/mice/insect etc catcher. He is quite skilled at it unfortunately. While I'm not very happy about it especially the birds, they are dogs & it is instinct for them to hunt.
