  1. What causes bloat is a mystery even after a few studies on it that condridict previous studies. Thank heavens you saw what was happening. I'm assuming your dog had a Gastropexy as well? Your Vet will give you a care sheet that tells you what your dog can and cannot do.
  2. I can put them on a webpage for you. What is the file size?
  3. Heya, Where do you buy Rally O signs from? Are the American ones the same as our ones? EDITED: SEE PAGE 2
  4. Sounds like you're assuming she should know to go outside? When you're home, take her to the yard every hour and give her the toileting command and then calmly praise when she's going and then big praise when she's done. Ignore her in the yard until she toilets, no interacting with her. Then, watch her like a hawk - she should never leave your sight until the next time you let her out. Some dogs can just take longer but the more accidents 'you' allow her to have the longer it's going to take.
  5. Yeah I'd say so, my boy did a car ad last year and the moving bits were done on a trailer....
  6. Generally you would ask for yout Vet for a referral.
  7. You have to be logical.....you're putting a chemical on your dog, some dogs are going to have reactions.
  8. Aahh ... ok, I getcha . It has sort of helped, to a degree only, at this stage. The thing is, the test is only new and consequently not all proteins/food types were tested for. My boy still has problems with foods - goes on them, off them, has good stools with some, bad with others. The Nutriscan test has clarified some things for me to an extent at least. For example, how come Mandela went gung ho on the Z/D for a good period of time, then suddenly (literally) went off it? I didn't understand that until I recognised that Z/D contains corn starch and soy, both of which Mandela has shown positive to in the food intolerance tests. So, I avoid where I can the foods he is proven intolerant to. The next lot of testing (new tests should be available about May this year, I think) will clarify others food sources for me and I think that will prove to be a bigger help. Oh .... sorry. My mistake, perhaps? In the other thread, the way you wrote it, it was as if there was something you knew that suggested we should be very very careful about the feeding of it to our dogs. I won't encumber this thread with it so I'll re-visit the other . I'm hanging out for the expanded test, hopefully soon huh. Nope, just that I had tried it. It irkes me when people promote things like they're miracle cures that's all.
  9. Wondering how you went with it, i.e. given the results you were you able to make the neccessary changes and see improvements? Didn't say I had bad experience with Coconut oil, said I have had experience with coconut oil
  10. Most of the recommended chiros tend to be vets... Maybe that's the difference As a human Chiro and dog owner, I say there is a big difference!!! The training is a Masters of Veterinary Chiropractic and can be done by human Chiros and Vets. My rottie has hip dysplasia and I took her to Vet Chiro and a Vet Physio. IT should go without saying that human and canine biomechanics differ greatly! Anything I may have even thought to do in order to treat my rottie myself turned out to be incorrect quite simply because humans are different to dogs! dah. Having witnessed how my Vet Chiro adjusts my rottie, even though I have been adjusting humans for 14 years, I simply wouldn't attempt what he did to her, without the training, just like I wouldn't expect a Vet Chiro to think they can adjust a human without human training. So how did my rottie respond to Chiro with her hip dysplasia? extremely well, she would prance around like a princess after treatment! Does she get regular treatment? Not at this time, I only take her on an as need basis. Sorry lol, I think you misunderstood what I said, I wasn't referring to vet chiro Vs human chiro, but more vet chiro Vs 'bloke who did a distance course and has no real training**'...bit like the registered breeder Vs BYB argument...they're doing the same thing, but one has ethics, and the other is just out there to make some cash on the side **I do know of such a chiro, to be completely honest I don't know where he got his training, but he is NOT a vet, and considering that he didn't pick up a dogs severe HD or that there was even something wrong with her structure, I seriously doubt that he has any ability other than to count cash Distance Course? LOL!!!! Some of the best out there are self-taught / learn it from their father etc. Need to put away your assumptions I think You go to however is the best.....regardless of what certificate is on the wall.
  11. 1 of 3 of my dogs sees a Chiro and Muscle Manipulator.....because he needs to......just like I would go and see someone if I had issues with my spine / muscles in that area.
  12. WOOT! Congrats! Video? When is the next trial? Would love to come out and watch. Where are you training? Club or just by yourself?
  13. This would be in part why Mandela can only handle a meal of VAN here and there .... I used the Dr Jean Dodds & Nutriscan Food Intolerance Saliva test and one of the ingredients he has proven to be intolerant to is soy. OT, can you link me to the thread where you spoke about these results?
  14. Peter @ Berkshire Park - Greyhound Guy, does alot of Show dogs - Muscle Manipulator: 0411 353 130 Black @ Quakers Hill Vet - Greyhound Guy, does alot of Show dogs - Chiro & Laser: http://localvet.com.au/QuakersHill/
  15. I find it pretty odd that you state that Cererals are not ideal yet your product is mostly Oat....?
  16. People would really need to contact their states Licencing authority, I'd hate to give out the wrong information, although most of it seems to be on the website.
  17. Yes there are rules, here in NSW.... You need to have a licence to fundraise.....rules are different in different states. A licence to fundraise is needed even if you're just being given food or beds etc. In NSW, you can view info here: http://www.olgr.nsw.gov.au/charitable_is_auth_req.asp We are currently going through licencing now as we have made changes to how we fundraise.
  18. I find those expos get more pitterful every year. I'd go with the website and advertsing such as Banner advertising on forums like this, advertising in State Canine gazettes and so forth.
  19. I'm going to sound like a bitch here but.. whatever. This is something I feel very strongly about. I have no issues with some posting their own experiences, even if their perception of the results might not reflect the actual efficacy of the product. What I do have a problem with is individuals or groups implying that products may have some benefit that there is absolutely no evidence for (beyond the very anecdotal), especially when failing to provide actual treatments (such as proper tick prevention) could cost dogs their lives if their owners are gullible enough to buy into the stories. Implying that coconut oil may (the weasel-word often used to avoid liability) prevent ticks is just plain skeazy and irresponsible. It's a shame threads like these can't be reported for deletion because I honestly think it gets to a point where they could potentially cause a lot of harm. Be passionate about your product by all means but when you lose all objectivity, you're putting other peoples' pets at real risk. Disgusting isn't it.
  20. I have an allergic dog and have had experience with coconut oil - I think it's very important to be very very very careful with claims.
  21. Na, I haven't experienced that. If you're getting nice results with Aloe etc. then I'd def. be using that!
