What would you be reporting? You weren't involved in, or witness to, an incident. Do you make a report everytime you see a car that doesn't stop at a stop sign, or doesn't use an indicator?

The artists website is much better - and has more stuff: http://www.niritlevav.com/ Well, maybe not this one:

Hilarious response. If he has access to wikipedia he is on the internet, and therefore has access to anything

Do You Like It When Strangers Interact With Your Dogs?
minimax replied to Blackdogs's topic in General Dog Discussion
I don't mind, I usually like it as having two pugs means most people who go out of their way to come and see them are pug people, who people who used to have pugs. My guys love kids, and kids are usually fascinated by their squishie faces  The only downside is Max is really excitable, and it took me quite a while to train her not to jump up on people, but then when strangers come up and talk/play with them they encourage the jumping up and even though I make her sit and ask people to wait until she's sitting, they usually go "oh I don't mind/don't worry about it" and she goes mental jumping up and I just give up -
If you were a different person and didn't learn from your mistakes and let the incident happen again, yes it would have helped for the other person to report it to help prevent future incidents and injury. Not everyone is you.

Maybe the vet said they couldn't, or suggested they don't ... if the vet's intention was to not euthenise the dog they probably had some sort of reason they could not stay with it.

Usually the daily allowance in enterprise agreements is given instead of a blanket wage increase to save costs. Because they are only getting the extra when they use the "skills", rather than every day. And really, if the median wage is $35.5k, an extra $14, which isn't always every day, honestly isn't going to lead to a high kill rate unless they are employing sociopaths, in which case they would do it without the $14 allowance.

Extreme Anxiety When Being Groomed
minimax replied to CathyM's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Are they brushing him regularly? That alone could help the process, physically as well as getting him used to being touched in that way. -
Being paid allowances for having extra skills or working in dangerous environments etc isn't all that unusual. In my industry people are paid an allowance when they work with asbestos, or with live electricity. People at the rspca are administering lethal chemicals, that requires a qualification or skill that not everyone has, plus the emotional task of killing animals. Good on them for providing a token gesture.

The OP has specifically said she will do other sports with the dog if she can't show it, so where did you get the idea of getting rid of it? But she bought it to participate in the sport of showing, and she should get the registration that was promised. In the household the difference between main reg or not may be nothing, but my dogs spend a lot of time out in the world doing stuff, where depending on what we do it makes a lot of difference Sorry... this bit from the OP... "I dont want to get rid of church and we will still compete in agility and nose work" Exactly, they are keeping him and will compete in other areas if they don't get his papers. Are you just trolling

Donation Receipt Question
minimax replied to Maddy's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
I doubt it, since when I add all my donations in my tax I just use my bank statement, I don't usually give all my receipts as I lose them  -
Getting Two Puppies To Keep Each Other Company...
minimax replied to Missymoo's topic in General Dog Discussion
Whenever I see people in the dog park with littermate puppies I cringe (usually 'oodles), and they give the "we got them for company" line. Then a few months down the track you see the owners looking frazzled and the pups don't come when they call them and they have little interest in other dogs and the owners are looking at people with two dogs asking how you get them to be so well behaved, because theirs are just so high in energy and don't do anything they ask and destroy the house etc -
I found puppy pre-school more for the humans than the puppies, and didn't take my second pup. I took my first pup as she was my first pup that was "mine" and not a family pet and I learnt some good things, but if you're comfortable with training then I'd say no, pre-school isn't necessary. It's better to not go than to go to one that has negative impact on your pup.
-
I have pugs and don't clean their folds with anything but damp tissues or sometimes baby wipes. I wouldn't consistently use anti-bac or anti-septic wipes on their skin as it's very drying.

Does the anal discharge smell?

It's easier to just let them have access to your main bank account :p

When we moved into our house with floorboards I got my pugs some socks with non-slip bits on them as a joke, so you can get socks or more solid booties. Waggle has more solid boots: http://waggle.com.au/dog-boots-c23?gclid=CJLYq-n_8bkCFcRXpQod8nIAjg Or Canine Spirit http://www.caninespirit.com.au/categories/dog-boots but if it's just to protect the feet from allergans socks would probably work just as well, and are cheaper http://www.vetnpetdirect.com.au/non_slip_dog_socks

Strangers Dog Went For My Face This Morning
minimax replied to jess5's topic in General Dog Discussion
True, but it's not like the dog was off leash and ran up lunging at the OP's face........the OP didn't need react with that dog and the situation could of easily been avoided. Can't say that I would stick my face into a strange dog's face like that in all honesty? What if a kid was walking past, their face around the same height as the dogs face, and the dog decided to for in for a snap? I'd report it, if you have enough details. -
The first online pet community? Unless it's for pets to communicate I doubt it's the first pet site on the internet The abn is registered to someone called Nicholas Forgione in VIC.

Mot sure if u read my earlier posts... he has barked 3 times since my neighbours house was broken in which was end July.... does that mean I am "dead-set" on not doing any type of training? Just asking if people have used this device and if it's any good.... that's all. Pls read post before you say that I am dead-set on training which I have not said so... if barking occurs everyday and for hours on end, I will get training from k9 which I did for my other rescue dog! I did read your post, hence my suggestion. Your dog is reacting to workmen etc, personally I'd be dealing with it now before it gets worse and causes more problems, especially if the dog is distressed. Why wait until it's a constant problem if it's causing you problems now?
-
If you're dead set on not doing any type of training, what about trying an ultra-sonic anti-bark device or some other thing instead of a muzzle type device?
-
Roova that's adorable, it's like she's playing peek-a-boo!
-
Thats a bit extreme isnt it? What if its not the OPs dog being the issue? What's extreme about it?

Bones For A Puppy Who Inhales Everything?
minimax replied to a topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Whole chicken frames. They have to chew as they are too big to swallow whole. If he doesn't chew them, you might need to teach him how by holding it while he eats for a while and not letting him inhale it. Roo tails, or sheeps heads.
