  1. Ummm if you send the OP a PM then surely they will realise that you are supporting them. That's right, didn't you know forums weren't for discussion! No threads to be created, all communication must be private
  2. Boston will do it sometimes too if you go to pick him up and he thinks it's for something not fun. He will roll on his back and play dumb, like "ohh you want to give me belly rubs, okay!" and his tail wags a little bit like he knows he's being cheeky, and he lifts his head to make sure I'm watching him
  3. The "OMG crates are evil" comments on that page annoy me more.
  4. Haha it's ok, I could be completely backwards which wouldn't be unusual :D But I was told not to feed my boy kelp, although it could have been for another reason and I just assumed it was his coat!
  5. Doesn't kelp bring out the red tones? I was told to avoid it for my black boy who has red/brown patches as it would highlight them more.
  6. Also, an article from early last year has a different email and phone number to the usual one on FB and Pet Rescue, so the other number might belong to someone else that can assist. http://www.lithgowmercury.com.au/story/1283520/giving-pets-a-helping-hand/
  7. If it helps any, they used to ask for donations to their vet account at Colyton Vet Hospital. Maybe someone who has been left with dogs or cats and needs assistance can call the vet and explain the situation and see if there are any funds in the vet account for use, or perhaps ask if they can contact Rachelle or know if she's been in lately etc
  8. Wouldn't the people who want to use her make her look how they want? Honestly, dirt and mud are probably best - and she'll probably love it
  9. Maybe put the cool mat on top of his normal bed so he knows it's a bed, and not a toilet?
  10. Be careful wrapping in ice or putting ice on an overheated dog, cooling them down too quickly can be just as dangerous as overheating. One of my pugs was hot last night so I put her in a cool bath and she lay on the floorboards to sleep (she tried snuggling up to me but thankfully after about 10 minutes moved to the floor lol)
  11. http://www.emsaust.com.au/Sydney-Pet-Animal-Expo.html I think me and Rozzie are the only google freaks here :p Me too...I was just trying to assist PFL getting her post count up Damn, that's on the day I organized the Centennial Park meet-up Well, change the meet-up to another day and everyone wins as then I'm more likely to be able to go (well, I guess the winning situation part there is debatable ) Yes, I saw the photos of your little black pug going bananas at a meet-up a while ago Okay, I'll change it to the next Saturday :) Oh, I forgot about those

  14. Where is it on? Oh, found something. It's Rosehill, so nope not going. It's Chinese New Year dragon boat races both days. They need a better website  http://www.emsaust.com.au/Sydney-Pet-Animal-Expo.html
  15. Not exactly the same, but quite similar by the sounds of it so try this thread: http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/252594-oncologist-recommendations-in-sydney/ That brave little guy isn't long post-surgery so it might be of some reassurance or help.
  16. If anyone needs cooling bandana's we have them in stock and the moment and will post asap. http://www.tailwagst...andana-291.html Hope everyone's dogs can get cool and that this heat wave goes away very soon. I saw people walking their dogs in the middle of the day yesterday argh made me so mad. I was looking at cooling bandanas the other day, every time I buy them they never fit the pugs chunky necks. Do reckon the large would fit around a pug without being so 'big' that it hung down to the ground? What size is your pug's neck? Large Estimate Sizing: 18" - 23" (5 1/2" Velcro Strip) Medium Estimate Sizing: 12" - 16" (4 1/2" Velcro Strip) Email me if you like [email protected] I'm not sure, they don't wear collars  I'm just concerned the larger ones would hang down further, but if the only difference is the neck length then it should be ok. I'll measure them tonight anyway. The heat here isn't any different to normal anyway, I'm just bored and dog shopping.
  17. If you look you'll find horror stories of accidents involving pets and livestock being transported by road too. I'd rather a short number of hours by plane than a longer number of hours by road, as least it's a lesser timeframe for something to go wrong.

  19. It's a good idea DD - but I doubt it. Most workplaces would be frightened of an influx and the WHS implications and probably think working from home us a better option. I can take mine to work, but no one gets much work done :p
  20. don't think they ship overseas, but you can get it shipped to you and then send on: Roo: http://pets1.com.au/Mighty-Dog-Toy-Safari-Series-Jr-Kayla-Kangaroo.html Koala: http://pets1.com.au/Mighty-Dog-Toy-Safari-Series-Jr-Kohen-Koala.html or amazon has them, but for the price it would be cheaper to buy in Aus and ship it yourself! http://www.amazon.com/VIP-PRODUCTS-801121-Mighty-Kangaroo/dp/B00AXKCN02
  21. I'd be wary of them (and fly spray) around dogs. My mum uses the auto spray thing and it makes me gag and sneeze whenever I walk past and it sprays, so I'd hate to think what it does to little doggy airways.
  22. lol I just got home and was skimming. Yep he's youngish. Looks like he needs to grow into his ears, he's adorable
  23. I came home today to the cool mats scrunched up in a completely different room to where I put them (obviously not scrunched up, lol) so I think the pugs thought I'd left them with some great new toys!
