  1. oh, SQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQUUUUUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! What a great day for me..... a lot of photos of adorable puppies. Honestly, Qui tops the list.
  2. Horrible Herbert Vizsla loves this. He's just 16 months 2 weeks. At last year's Dog Lovers' Show in Sydney, I got the samples. I have brought it since. He'll get feed some this week in preparation for a Show. He seems to get a glorious sheen on his coat & look really trim after a week of feeding this. I agree about the ingredients. Service from Pets Circle is great as well. :D ps... Momma should really call me Handsome Herbert now. 'Cos I am.
  3. Had a former work-mate who did this kitsch....
  4. And that was the most special part of her skills, Lu. That laid back nature but determination that you know Labs have, got her thro' so much. Nothing phazed her when on duty.
  5. this is the article about Sarbi when she got found and returned to the OZ Forces at Tarin Kot. Apart from her handler, her best love was a yellow ball.... She tolerated Rudd as well.... http://www.darkgovernment.com/news/lost-army-dog-found-14mos-later-in-afghanistan/ Keep in mind her humans searched for her for months and were in deep despair. eta: typical Press made an error in spelling her name.
  6. I would have a localised area until this gorgeous Ridgeback is grown up. :) I think your idea of a puppy safe idea is a wonderful start to his new life with you. As for being content???? I suspect he is going to THRIVE!!! You are going so well with the prepartions, MAZNAT. :D
  7. Stand Down, Sarbi. Your tour is over. You did your duty beyond what you were asked. EDD Private Sarbi, now at rest. I bet Vegas gave you a great Welcome when you arrived at the Rainbow Bridge. At the very start of this month, we were at Sarbi Park when I had the joy to see this girl again.... little did I know then. http://www.smh.com.au/environment/animals/canine-war-hero-sarbi-visits-brisbane-dog-park-named-in-her-honour-20150228-13rftu.html
  8. My Aunty had a beautiful CKCS, with the gorgeous Duchess Thumb print, called Sarah. ( She was a true Lady ) She used to spend a lot of time with us and was able to ignore birds outside of their cages, within the house. She grasped that guinea pigs & their pens were not for her to check. Her breeder told us that all others in her lines were fine so long as they were trained. I am sure if you ask your breeder you can get info too..... and if/when you get a CKCS, we can have photos!!!
  9. oh Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's a relief :)
  10. Shame the OP could not consider you as a candidate and the beautiful Em..... What a wealth of knowledge you could share with her for the thesis.
  11. The bravest gift of LOVE is letting the dog go although your heart is broken. As gently but as firmly as you can, let Kiska's Daddy know, he must be brave for her. Together both of you must allow this sweet gal her dignity to cross to The Rainbow Bridge. I speak from the heart with the saddest of memories. But I also know in my heart, we managed the right time especially for our Tibor who we lost in December. I shall think of you all and hope for peace.
  12. Aoraki ( Mt cook) is oft covered in cloud. A very mysterious and amazing sight to behold in the early dawn or as the sun hits the Alps. I am thrilled you did that drive. It's the epitome of the South Island in my book. The country around Queenstown/Arrowtown and what you may have heard called The MacKenize High Country is beauty on earth.... even in the chills of winter. :D
  13. To this day, one of the very very BEST road trips I have ever done is this one: http://www.newzealand.com/int/trips-and-driving-itineraries/south-island/queenstown-to-christchurch-via-mount-cook/ I prefer the trip in reverse out of Christchurch. I do not always detour via Mount Cook either. Years back, when State Highway 8 was not entirely 'modern', I can still recall coming around some corner and being 'hit' by the smell of wild mint. The mint was being feed by the icy cold waters of rippling tiny streams. Never EVER forgotten that. Also we used ski Mount Hutt before it became fashionable.
  14. South Island of New Zealand is one of the most magical places for scenery. Its Fiorland area easily matches that of Norway. The fast running rivers ( used on the Hydro Scheme) match rivers in Canada. The area of Arrowtown and Queenstown are better than any of the lochs of Scotland. I'll not even comment on the buildings! Christchurch makes you think you've transported to England. Beautiful country. Lived there as a child & teenager. Have wonderful memories.
  15. Great article!!!! These are fab dogs.....
