  1. Not really. It gets applied as a 'pinch' of the powder. Not a great amount is needed. Majority of dogs I have ever seen to be treated with this, have got well over ear issues after being treated just once. Two dogs took a bit longer. :D
  2. this is why I suggested the snood. Horrible Herbert got so much water in his ears during the actual swimming, he would shake out the water madly. We now use a snood. He is much more comfortable & has less problems. :D
  3. Have you consider using snoods to cover their ears, Sail_Away? Have had issues with the Horrible One because he was swimming in a chlorine pool. Off to the Vet tomorrow actually for a check. He has the chance of travel which might need to be in a plane. Not going to do that unless this ears are A_OK.
  4. Seems Cuba covered quite some area on that adventure. Wonderful that he is home. Well Done to all who helped.
  5. Ask yourself this, aliwake: Ever felt so miserable you want to scream your head off BUT that sweet dog that lives with you senses you are unhappy? They make an effort to make YOU feel better. With a companion, a true and loyal friend like that, lots of troubles can be conquered. I can say to you that all of the dogs I have had the honour of loving and being loved by, thought of me & doing their bit to make me happy. My Gabor Heart dog would not let paramedics past the door because he feared I was going to be in more danger. I managed to tell Gabor to obey a long forgetten set of commands. He knew his duty and he knew to trust me. When the human heart, and mind, is willing, adjustments can be made. I'll look for photos too where friends' dogs are already guarding the new humans without dramas or issues.
  6. Herbert says he might do 'other boy things' as in Hiss Boo
  7. I gather you saw the cost of getting a copy of this? Holy cr*p.... I'll ask a friend in Queensland what they might have. :)
  8. Vizsla thing this. Really? His half sister didn't do it! Gosh.... our dogs were unrelated & cleaned their feet like that. Interesting differences, of course. :D
  9. Horrible Herbert likes this, Stressmagnet. THank you :D x
  10. Not just denali, but any poster taking time to upload their photos is a wonderful treat for others, imho. Sometimes, the day might be 'off' or we might have argued with someone & be feeling 'yuck. Let me assure ya'll, an uploaded photo of dog, wildlife or reptile is a tonic. Thank you for sharing
  11. oh oh oh. Ongoing hugs from Horrible Herbet & myself to your wee family. Paws crossed for improvements to be started.
  12. meh, if that is homeless and uncared for, when might I move in? Tilly looks wonderful :D
  13. Note this is just my ,2cents worth, but a Breed club is only as good as its members. There are many Clubs with old hands entrenched that act like they own said club. For newcomers, it is difficult to break down doors.
  14. One plus for you (imo anyway) is you are there trying. It's not like you have ignored info regarding Jake. But you have taken your responsibilities and make a sincere effort for your boy. I've a friend in the USA whose male Vizsla is giving her a hard time. The reason is so simple but so sad. Poor dog has never had the basics of training & she is totally out of her depth with him. Both need one-to one guidance from a trainer.
  15. So so sorry to hear this. Love to his family at this awful time.
