Parents State Dogs Responsible For Critical Injuries To Toddler
VizslaMomma replied to j's topic in In The News
Reminds me of being in Cas at Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick,NSW many many years ago. Ambos signalled they were bringing in a seriously hurt child. No further info was given. They arrived with a wee bundle aged 6 weeks old. He smelt like he never had ever been cleaned. He just whimpered. The boy friend had been grabbing him by his ankle & bouncing him off the sofa. Why? Because bubs cried. Had the best case ever of industrial deafness when two Detectives spoke to that creature. Pretty astounding the chair he was sitting on broke. Depsite all the efforts by the boy friend, the baby had no injury other than bruises & a dislocated hip. After being cleaned up & fed, this wee man would lie in his cot being happy just as an innocent should. Mother was a junkie. Boy-friend no hoper. The paternal Grandmother ended up with custody & raised the boy very well. As for the no-hopers, even to this day I hope they like Hell. -
My breeder takes all her dogs there too. Look out for over the top Vizslas. :D

Do You Have An Entire Male Dog Inside?
VizslaMomma replied to Stitch's topic in General Dog Discussion
10 month old entire male as well as a 14 year old entire male here, Stitch. The older male is the perfect dog. ( I kid you not). Only place he ever marked was the brand new white sofa of my SIL when he was much younger. He had one poop accident as a puppy. No problems at all for all the years he lived with his desexed brother who crossed to The Bridge last year. When he did stud duties, he was almost bashful with the bitches. This pair of Vizslas were so clean to live with right from puppyhood. Puppy is a work in progress. He has had two incidents. That was because his Daddy misread his signals. Luckily he came in January so the nights were warm to do the training. Hope this helps. :) -
I am glad you are feeling brighter. I happen to think it's important to vent when we are worrying about our dogs. Sometimes we may be misguided within ourselves & cant see it. But really, AND, reasonably, you are entitled to feel this precious girl got treated well. Paws crossed for helpful answers.

you obviously mean the prettiest coloured chocolate lab in the enitre group? that's the one that caught my eye first. LOL. So excited for you -
Thanks Tassie and VM, I have contacted them now. I shall stalk the DWD thread! Do keep us updated here if you think suitable. Might look at the DWD thread too. Though, not sure how to tell a butch 10 month old male Vizsla he might be going to learn to dance. He is keener on agility at the moment. And my toes need some protection.

Act Police Officer Cap Sprays Tethered Dog
VizslaMomma replied to SkySoaringMagpie's topic in In The News
what about the associates present? Nothing for them then? Bar stewards. -
What a shame you are not in Sydney. Luci Ellem does this with dogs. Most dogs ( and humans) do enjoy the activity. There is actually a Club in Queensland. http://www.danceswithdogsclubqld.org/ They are on Facebook ( if you use it). Should get some help there. Youtube has many videos. Look for Freestyle Dancing, Crufts too. Some wonderful clips. I hope you have luck.... I would love to see photos :D

No, not that you should not have gone there. The Practice has a duty of care to ensure the patient is correctly looked after. As human, and therefore her voice, you need to be told what happened. It all sounds like a brush off to me. And I do not 'do' being brushed off when my dog's health is involved. I really want to feel secure in what they do. I imagine you are the same. Yet this does not appear to have happened. I would call the Practice and request a full explanation, including why there was a change of personnel without your approval. I would not want to spend almost $1000 and have no answers. Neither you nor your dear girl deserve that either.

Parents State Dogs Responsible For Critical Injuries To Toddler
VizslaMomma replied to j's topic in In The News
Because they are allowed to take no responsibility for their actions, imo. If they go before the Justice system, their defence is no ice cream as a child. As I type, the TV just reported that the stepfather in this case tortured the child for a period of 51 days.... The mother then conspired to commit murder. Both tried to disguise their part in the eventual death. Wanton murderers. -
aw, Stitch... this sounds so awful. That's a brush off if ever I heard one. No humans asre the same. No two dogs are the same, either. And, your old girl is not a youngster, if you get what I mean. Stress & the procedure itself could play havoc. Only speaking from what has happened to me, our Vet has always requested a 'sample' to be supplied. imo, I believe they were amiss to not tell you more specically their requirements. Has the diahorrea eased yet?

Um, not easily on their part or comfortably on your dear girl's part. If you did not supply a fresh specimen, they might use a faecal rod.

Considering Importing A New Breed To Australia?
VizslaMomma replied to Aleksandr's topic in In The News
Let's hope you finally get some help, Alexsandr. Will be a bonus if paperwork can be produced in English. :) -
I have feed stale cheese to the dogs without hassles. If the dogs are in good health, I dont think there would be a problem. Puppy actually ate a great chunk of Blue Vein cheese once. The Vet assured me his system could cope. We had no explosions/poops etc.

Which Breeds Do You Wish Were In Australia?
VizslaMomma replied to Kavik's topic in General Dog Discussion
Why are you still going on about that discussion? That's not really friendly, Alexsandr. You sound like you are trying to put Yonjuro down. On a forum, people are allowed to have different thoughts. -

The same happened to me with Horrible Herbert's breeder. She was actually on the way to the airport in Brisbane to send a puppy to Perth. Yet, she had time to console me. It's such a plus to have a bond with the breeder. -

Problem is they do not get dealt with severely. Social worker magistrates on the Bench hand out candy.

Ah, Gunga Din!!!! Be strong then. So tempting when you can appreciate changes would help.

What is the motivation? Please Dog let the culprits be found quickly.

Rouse Hill Woolworths often has the salmon heads, juice. They have been out on the display counter anytime I have checked. They were $2.49 a kilo lately. Richmond Woolworths also stock them. Try Costi's at Rouse Hill too. Their price might be a bit higher. As I am out and about, I'll update here where there are bargains. :)
