  1. I am wondering if Horrible Herbert knows Brown Dawg? He does this too. Loo trips a la solo mean crate time for him. Internal door handles were the lever types. Took one paw swipe to work out opening. And we get treated to a sort of 'Momma I am home' arrival of the brat.
  2. let's try again..... http://dogcare.dailypuppy.com/homemade-solution-matted-dog-hair-1055.html ( bit wordy) and this one: http://dogcare.dailypuppy.com/homemade-detangler-long-hair-dogs-1881.html this has the ingredients to use & the ratios. Hope this helps. :) http://pets.thenest.com/make-own-dog-fur-detangling-spray-11715.html
  3. Whatever happened to devotion and fidelity from him? LOL.... that bed is great. All good dogs deserve cosy beds & loo privacy for their humans.
  4. Flippin' Aida!!!! Too close..... Glad the outcome was fine. HUGS xxxx
  5. Wish and a fine thing I feel, HW. Seems some tend to think everyone but 'moi' must follow the rules.
  6. You know the saying...... photos or it did not happen. J/K.... DDD, if you were lucky enough to spend time with the beautiful Benny, your word is (just) enough! He is a special boy.....
  7. The kindess of your words helps though. Never underestimate this. Thank you VM. That is exactly right, but the words wouldn't come to me. The messages posted here over the past week have meant more to me than I can say. The tears are here again as I type these words, but I know there will be a time when I remember and think of Myrtie with only smiles. But not yet. I understand. It's the enormous hole left.... sighs. HUGS xxxx
  8. Yep. They are running a competition for a bed. I messaged the owner. Prices are reasonable and there is a choice of fabric. Based in Melbourne too. :D
  9. The Canley surgey used to be where the male Vet practised. I have taken my birds there to him. His wife was there a couple of times. ( about 12 months ago). :)
  10. Thank you for this..... just looked at the site. Classes might be available close to where I live. What a bonus. With a young Vizsla, I am looking for activities to stimulate him. Thank you so much.
  11. That's high. Say a young large breed male dog had behavioural issues, could the dog not have had chemical castration? What would happen there, Steve? NB: not meaning this puppy but in general.....
  12. The kindess of your words helps though. Never underestimate this.
  13. Have they been together long? Is there any chance their friendship/playing might have knocked your pup around? Dogs tend to mask illness & pain. Just wondering if anything changed since they became 'bessies'? Has the house stairs etc as well? Love to see a photo of the pair!
  14. What a darling boy! And how handsome with a blue blanket too. Well Done, Mac for beating the odds. Hugs and Love
  15. this is a thread from the other day that might be of interest to you as well. There is a great post on feeding variations. Rather, it suggests a different way to let the dog eat. I intend trying it with Horrible Herbert( Vizlsa). He is a chow hound. http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/257991-ways-to-tire-out-young-rescue-dog/ Your thread is another one I am marking to help us.
  16. All dashing in the argyle coat? Yep, a love bug. HUGS, DDD xxx
  17. You are doing very well with your posts. You have a big concern, and are trying to seek best resolution. Might I ask how often and how long these two puppies play together? Is their play supervised? Two active youngsters might be the key to his presenting with issues. The other dog is possibly/probably strong enough to knock your puppy around.
  18. Mason is my vote. I perceive JR as a name for a dog which is bigger than the pug. Then again............. Both are good choices. :D
  19. Oh well done for (again) going that extra mile for Mr Digby. I was thinking of you both earlier today. This is giving you both a continuing of your special bond. That is priceless. You need never think 'if only'..... Hold your head high, and let your heart spoil the darling. HUGS
  20. Reminded me of the old Vizsla boy's Momma. She had whelped 12 puppies that lived. She had made it obvious to them there was no milk AND no teeth on her tender nipples. Each time the new owners came to collect their puppy, she allowed each to 'hang off' the milk bar. It was like a final farewell I chooose to think.
