Bumped the thread for some advice on 'ears'. 16 week old Vizsla has his C5 today. Vey said his outer ears are 'dirty'. He scratches them from time to time. Vet checked down the ear canal. All is OK. Would it be reasonable to use the Natural Animal Solutions rather than Malaseb diluted or the 'softer' alternatives? Trying to avoid harsh chemicals. Yes, I am aware of poking around with ear canals etc & getting Vet advice on red nasty ear canals. At the moment this appears to be under the heading of general maintence. :)

Overseas Move With Dog InvolvedVizslaMomma replied to blakkjackal's topic in General Dog Discussion Funny you mention this. A friend exporting from Hungary got told not to do that. 1st issue was turbulence might cause the contents to bounce around & hit the dog ( whilst bottle was still frozen.) 2nd was the dog chewing the bottle open & choking on its covering (plastic).

If I close my eyes it's like being at your place in real life. All the images are brilliant.

Hmmm, OK. Then I can still rehouse them. Should have known better than to trust my brother. He said they do not bite. ETA: In New Zealnd we had their version of the cockroach called weta. They crawl over sleeping people

They BITE????????????????????????????? wtfudge! I was told they did not bite. When I get them in the house I was taking them outside. Might revisit that concept. They bite

	That is so true.

Overseas Move With Dog InvolvedVizslaMomma replied to blakkjackal's topic in General Dog Discussion Better to voice the concerns now and do the ground work. It's a big concern for you better addressed than gloss over matters. When you select flights look at stop over times (and airlines). EG, with an Austrian import coming into NSW, we selected Dubai as the stop over rather than Singapore to reduce flying times. Crate training will be a big bonus. I wish you both well for the adventure.

Sure it does. It's the State House of Parliament, both upper and lower chambers.

What I liked was the mention of Remi putting her head on the chest of one of the Sisters and sighing. For a pound rescue dog to have that relief touched me. Dogs sighs of contentment are contagious ( imo). The wee girl is flourishing

Thanks for this. Lost old notes with that link.

I'm in two minds about taking him back out at the moment. I may wait until I get the titre results back from Hemopet. Interestingly though my vet did the new 'in house' test first and received a negative result both times she tried. They suspected it was the test as it is new to them, so also sent it to VetPath. My vet spoke to the head haematologist there last night who was absolutely certain he has no immunity. The tests were batch run with control samples, and other samples which returned positive results, it was just Louis's that showed no detectable antibodies It will be interesting to see the result from Hemopet. Also how the heck do you pronounce it 'teat-er' or 'tight-er' It certainly will be interesting to see the result from Hemopet. You will post the results here won't you please? I want to know if you pronounce it 'teet-er or tight-er' too. Can someone please put us out of our misery and tell us the correct pronunciation? Teeter to match litre. BTW, push those Vets to listen to YOU.

Content that does not meet your standards removed. Could I trouble you to remove the original quote. I shall ensure to refrain from trying to think in future.

I agree with you about hoping for the best for the wee girl. I think you're using the wrong terminology - it's not without prejudice. What you're meaning is that you're purely speculating. I also think you're drawing some pretty big generalisations not supported by the news reports. (I too am from NZ and grew up rural with a father who spent many years as a government hunter in the NZ high country). I wrote that to hopefully avoid a post like yours. If you thinking that living in the Bay of Plenty near to that area years ago, precludes my making commments, then there is no point of trying to discuss an issue.

I think it grand that Cheys choose to wait and research this. Her new puppy is so adorable. I wish them every happiness and a long future. For the duration of this thread, we were helping a friend pick 'the next family dog'. Imagine my horror when the 1st nomination was a groodle Several other designer/yuck breeds were suggested. Found out the 'kids' were trying to enable the parents because their friends had such dogs. We had a long talk. One of the first things mentioned was the dogs were not friendly, did not want to 'play' & were not fun. We went over what they would really like. Included the parents ( of course). They are bringing home a beautiful pedigree Chessie. Kids understand a little better about being careful when buying a puppy. Parents are delighted. Off my soap box. :)

Looking For A Specialist Vet ?VizslaMomma replied to BC Crazy's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming Would Newcastle be too far away? We saw Kathy Cornack at rather short notice for a wee CKCS who was simply 'poorly' after being exposed to paints during a house renovation. I hope others chime in too. The other suggestion is a telephone consulation with Doug Wilson (Lismore based). I go to Russell Lea in Sydney as needed too.

Money would likely be the reason ,imho. Who would pay expenses and damage control would be in the minds of officials.
