  1. This is fine. Why? Because this is where you are with your photography. Keep in mind, this is meant to be fun for you. You are allowing yourself an adventure with a lenses. It's a learn as you go process. Sure, a photo might need 'adjustment'. BUT, if your heart likes the photo, then you created the piece of art. I did Medical Photography for centuries. It was truly wham, bam, shoot. But our boss always would say relax as you shoot that shot. You will be better co-ordinated. He was right.
  2. This. Sorts issues out smartly this method.
  3. Please do not think like this. The dog photos are spontaneous and natural. They capture, and so define, exactly what the subject is: two larrkin dogs. Your little mate, the Gecko, is awesome. These critters are hard to get close enough to capture. Yet you did that AND have him in focus. Practise away. None of us here are saying be Anne Geddes. Rather, we are looking forward to sharing your journey in the world of photography. And if you are close to the Murray River, then I am going to drool over photos of my favourite waterway. Happy snaps!!
  4. Its nothing here for my dogs to get 15 to 20 eggs each a day when the chooks are doing their job well. gas maskz essential :p :p Funnily enough with the two (older) Vizslas that was an issue. I did notice it's not happening now. Used to laugh when a russet gold head would be lifted off the mat with a look of 'who made that smell?'
  5. Because I am nosey, I checked your posts..... Is this a close-up of a GSD or it was a bear you got by surprise. LOL...... @cannibalgoldfish, rather a good idea. We could have Name the Breed paw competition
  6. Fresh eggs with shells are consumed by the dogs several times weekly. Or I add a raw egg and serve steak tartare to the old boy ( 14 years with all his teeth) if I think he's 'peaky'. This dog is on thyroid meds so he can be 'off'. Puppy loves the eggs too. Smiles if he gets a plate of puppy milk & egg maybe once every few weeks. NB, not a constant in his diet. But a light meal if he has over-eaten. :)
  7. Holy Moly! That is a serious paw there.
  8. Plus there'd been a post expressing interest in the breed. Which made me look up something about it. And your expression of hope was just that, VM ... an expression of hope. You were not laying down a condition for rehoming. Thanks :)
  9. I doubt Kuga could ever be forgotten. He has a certain style about him, a gentle soul for sure. I am glad time has been easier for you, Horts. We can smile when we think of those at the Rainbow Bridge rather than cry. I suspect ( & hope) he is doing rabbit duty with my Gabor. Kuga, dear gentle soul.
  10. Going on the 15th for the Gundogs and the 18th for the Mareemas. Hoping to be able to walk long enough with the new knees
  11. Yes I wondered that as well :/ ViszlaMomma I took your post as hoping it to be a Doler so you could see updates on this unusual breed it would be good if we could. Yep, that too. :)
  12. Why on earth does it have to be a DOLer? What a bizarre comment. The world is much bigger than this forum and being a member here does not guarantee responsible or preferable dog ownership. It just means the person has the ability to join a social discussion site related to dogs. Quite a few users around have been expressing interest in the breed. I considered it might be their lucky break.
  13. Seriously, I am beginning to think that DOL members have ESP. One of the things to do today has been check out a suitable car for dog transport. CHECK thread on here started today. 2nd, and more important.... an invisible fence. So very much appreciated.
  14. Please please please let the new home be with a DOL member.
  15. What might have happened? Mind shudders in horror. Sorry to go off topic.
  16. Stunning girl! What a good looker
  17. Once you get over the (first) tastes, you have it licked. Amazing product for sure.
  18. I am sorry you have had this shock. (((HUGS))) Articles of clothing would be suitable for wee Henry to have near him. Our Great Aunt broke her hip. We got hold of her pillow cases, and bath towels for her CKCS to 'hug' & rest with. Check with your Vet in case Henry does not adjust well. I would also consider 'medication' to calm him as well. NB: I am not advocating tranquillisers, sleeping pills. Rather there are available suitable natural remedies for dogs. As well as Tender Loving Care, Henry may need extra help. He is likely to fret. Please update us with his progress.
  19. I guess with no breed recognition here there is a lack of them.
  20. Just what he deserves for a birthday!!! Shall look forward to photos of his jumper too
  21. oh, oh! i read acouple of threads just last week. http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/251903-importing-dogs-into-australia/page__p__6296500__hl__beauceron__fromsearch__1#entry6296500 http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/237847-beauceron-breeders-in-australia/page__p__5844472__hl__beauceron__fromsearch__1#entry5844472
