Black is beautiful owning a longcoat black male shepherd. As for longcoats they are now recognised with the FCI and can be shown from January 2011 how long it will take for Australia to catch on or allow it I do not know. But I cannot wait to see the longcoats in the show ring. I often get asked if my boy is a Belgian Shepherd.

Great price but I pay only $17 for a C3 with my vet and for a C5 he charges $25 I love my vet.

I have already made up my mind many weeks ago NOT to vote for Labour or Liberal in this election. For the first time in my voting life instead of putting one above the box I am going to number all the boxes below so I know where my vote is going to and that the preference vote does NOT go to Labour or Liberal. I have been a Labour voter all my life apart from the federal election this is the other time I am voting against them.

They look great but they also look like they need a good brush. If I were to see one on the street I would think it's coat has be neglected and it needed a good clip.

I do not have aircon either here we have ceiling and pedestal fans in all the rooms. My shepherd sleeps on the tiles in the hot days and the little ones where ever. I do not have to go to work so if the mecury is going to be over 30 degrees they are inside with me. If it is too hot outside for the me it is too hot for the dogs.

My thoughts go out to you at this time. I have lost three dogs to cancer in the last five years and it kills you no denying that. I cannot say it gets any easier but you learn to live with it. One we lost on the table and two I was there with them but it does not make it any easier. Do what you have to do to get through it. We are all here for you. Weep not that she has gone But smile that she has been. :D

I just use a steel framed bed with a hessian sack. I vacuum it regularly as I vacuum my bedroom floor. I do have a sheet underneath though to protect the carpet from the dust. I just pick up the sheet and wash it regularly and shake it. Rubber gloves wet will always removed dog hair.

My big dog goes to the groomer well she comes to me and that is maybe once or twice a year. The little dogs have not been bathed in over two years they do not smell and a quick groom gets rid of any dirt in their coats. With my older dogs when they were alive I bathed them once a month all their lives but I do not find it necessary anymore. I also think that my dogs coats now are in fact healthier than the others.

German Shepherds do not need a huge yard to live they would much prefer to be in the house with you. I also find they do not require the hours of exercise that many would lead you to believe. Mini Foxies now here is a dog that is absolutely full on when young need a lot of training inside and out. Couch potatoes when older a big dog in a little body and actually I have found sometimes more work than the German Shepherd. But it does not make me love them any the less. Edited to add that no chook, rat, mouse, or any small fluffy is safe with a foxie certaintly not mine natural born killers which suits us fine living on a farm with the rats and mice. Oh and my girl will NOT allow a bird in the house or out in the yard.

I have lino in the loungeroom kitchen area tiles in the hallway, carpet down in the study and bedroom. I wish I had tiles through out the whole house so much easier to look after.

I bought turkey legs after seeing these photos and my dogs loved them... they are now a regular thing on the menu funny seeing a four kilo dog walking down the yard with a near 1kg turkey leg and demolish most of it.

I have light green carpet and black shepherd so we have a layer of black fuzz on the top rather striking.

Oh bugger I am going away in July for a couple of weeks and would have loved you to come and house sit for me you would have been perfect for it. Sorry I am not going any sooner.

When you find the miracle cure can you let me know as well please I have a shepherd here that barks all the time whilst playing. It drives me nuts but he does not seem to mind one little bit.

I never take my dogs to off leash dog parks either. Way too dangerous I would not risk my dogs for the sake of a free run. My smallest dog weighs 4kg I would never put her in that kind of danger.
