I just love coming to this thread to see all the stunning babies!! Congrats to those already in the ring and doing great, and good luck to those hitting the rings shortly!

We have had a dream start to our Rising Star's show career!

He got out of quarantine late July, first show two days later where he took RUBOB from Puppy Class, with a large Newfy entry, and 3rd in Puppy Sweepstakes.

Second show was Utility Champ Show where he got Puppy of Breed

Next was Lillydale, judged by a Newfy breeder from USA, Mason won BOB and Puppy in Group and was short listed in the final 6 for Best in Group! A brilliant win for a giant puppy under a Breed Specialist with a very large Newfy entry!

Hoping he continues on this path! He is gaining confidence at each show, so we are happy.

Mason is - Newfoundland (Landseer) Deep Loves French Eiffel at Paddlepaws (Imp France)

My two babies had their first show on the 20th August - the gundog club of WA shows. First show Lulu - Belbracon Seeker Lover Keeper got baby of breed, beating another baby bitch and her brother. The second show Lulu got 1st baby bitch out of three, and JT - Belbracon Show Me The Money - got baby of breed, beating Lulu :) so it's even stevens so far. I was very very proud of those babies at their first show, they were absolutely amazing.

My 2011 rising stars growing up and hits the puppy class in a few weeks :-( Hes growing up too fast. Hes been going thru a crap stage where he was backing away from judges and being just naughty and this weekend after alot of hard work on sunday at spring fair he stood still and gaited like the little champ he is. Here are some pics from about a month ago.

And very early in the thread I introduced Dumbledore the griffon and Harlow the PBGV who have both had an awesome start to their show careers. Especially dubledore taking out baby in show, baby in specialty and many other baby and minor in groups.

Dumbie or Dumbie Rat as I like to call him

An update to "Mason's" career..

His 5th show was the Newfoundland Champ Show in NSW where he won Runner Up in Show and Puppy in Show!

To say we are thrilled is an understatement!! Mason is 11 months old.

After just 5 shows, he is already the number 9 Newf in Australia at the moment!!

My rising star Halo (Taigakoira Aamuenkeli) had a fantastic week at the Adelaide Royal. She started out at Sunday Sweeps with being shortlisted to the top 12 in the Puppy Bitch class. Seeing as she's a rare breed, for us that was as good as a first place.

Then on Friday at our breed day, she won Puppy of Breed over her sister Ruby, and then went into the bitch challenge lineup where she was awarded RBCC. She was the only bitch who was run twice, and a few people said the judge probably would have given her the challenge if she'd been older. There were six bitches in total for the breed, so we were absolutely thrilled. She is nine months old.

Here's a pic of Halo with her ribbons from Friday.

Here is Hudson after his first show! :D

He came home with a Baby Puppy of Breed first time out, and was beaten by his sister for baby puppy today. SO proud of the little guy, it was both of our first times in the ring. Could not have asked for a more perfect weekend!

Not the greatest photo, Saturday was a lot for him to take in, and stacking properly was not on his high priority list. :p

My little girl Lani had her first weekend of shows in Minor and came away with some great wins! From 5 shows she placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Puppy Sweeps as well as being shortlisted for the other two. She was shortlisted for a couple of Minor in Groups as well. But her best wins were 2 x RUBCC and 1 x RUBOB (from and entry of 8 kelpies - 3 males and 5 females) and then topped it off with MINOR IN SHOW !!!
