Nice shot It was Maggies birthday this week , I know some have seen this weeks photo already but here it is again . DSC09104 by mtd3, on Flickr Its hard to believe that 6 years ago I received " That" phone call saying that there was a black girl just born if I would like her . She was the only black jelly bean amongst all those Gold nuggets . A gold cocker is what I wanted , but after waiting 6 long months that just wasn't happening so a black it was . I have never regretted the decision to take that little black girl . Maggie you have brought me so much joy ,happiness , laughter and the odd tear . We have been through a lot , the worst was at the young age of 5 months you were diagnosed with HD. The next year was hard but we did it . Travelling an hour each way to have hyrdrotherapy, seeing various natural therapy people, strict diet and excercise . The best news was about 2 years later seeing the specialist again and he feeling your hips and saying that there was no luxating , the hips where tight , you had done what we were so hoping you would, develop psuedo hips ( your own special hips ) . We then found out about luring . I was a bit worried wether it was Ok for you , I rang my vet and he said let you try . you absolutely loved it , surprising everyone how well you preformed. Got my heart going . Does Asti like his little bro ? Thanks MTD - Yes Asti is like a totally different dog - she plays hard but has 'adjusted' her intensity! Love Asti's little powdered nose and what a gorgeous little brother she gets to play with :D Sweet Maggie girl on her birthday, she looks so proud of herself. Wonderful portrait of Spencer, such a cute curious pose, nice angle too ~~~~~~~~ Lotus 43/52 - wobble-butt (one of her nic-names) ... been meaning to show off her half-tail (she was born with) all year ... but couldn't just leave it with her tail, so put it together with a head-shot (not the best in the series, but couldn't go past her expression ... ever compliant ) A quick trip down to the river on one of the warmer mornings this Spring, Chester 43/52 - cooling off ... not a swimmer, but will take a dip now'n'again I've included this last shot as it was going to be his weekly shot before the river trip. Since I no longer have access to lightroom thanks more to an unfortunate hot water system bust which has basically financially ruined me for a while, I only have elements8 for editing ... I need to learn how to use it efficiently, so far it's just purely frustrating ... so this wasn't really what I had in mind when I took it, but just a mindless play Chester and since I'm here, I hope no one minds me adding another unlikely edit via elements8 of Lotus giving me a funny look too this week :D ps: I am so over this, so I'm sorry I've pretty much been just posting and running the past few weeks ... but of course I can't quit now only 9 weeks out Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yes, Marlo's intense/deadpan look is the result of her treat (bribe) of delicious bbq chicken which I strategically place near me. I tell her to 'watch' it and hey presto a dog so still and fixated on her treat I can take a few snaps of her. Only downside is if I'm too slow, she starts to drool, which isn't a pretty sight.
