Clicking Mad Posted June 13, 2012 Share Posted June 13, 2012 (edited) Hi all, it's been a while, I haven't intentionally been keeping the big/little puppy quiet (so to speak), but now with some time off, I belatedly introduce my new little/big german shepherd puppy Saxon :D both his ears were dropped when he first came home but it only lasted that first day, before 1 ear popped up then dropped again for a few days then both mainly up a size comparison @ about 14 weeks and @ about 5 months (last week) water lover and swimming pro not a bad retriever either (when it suits him) looking almost like an adult but still a bit cheeky :D that'll do for an intro ... better hit the add reply button before he gets too old :laugh: Edited December 15, 2012 by Clicking Mad Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Clicking Mad Posted June 13, 2012 Author Share Posted June 13, 2012 thanks :D oh and I should mention I lost Jamie-girl late last year and for almost the same amount of time I've had Saxon, Chester has been on crate-rest/recuperating from a slipped disc in his neck - so not much play between the boys, and none in the future my pack now looks something like this (so serious lol): (you probably can't see, but the uneven pink square across Chester's chest is where he was shaved for his surgery a couple of weeks prior to this shot - next week he'll be ready for short walks again at last!) I laughed at TLCs Blue Steel comment and went back to look, and laughed again. :laugh: I'm sorry Chester's had such trouble with his neck, Penny has an intermittent problem with hers too and it's heartbreaking when she is in trouble with it. Clicking Mad Posted June 25, 2012 Author Share Posted June 25, 2012 hey thanks all! kirislin - yeh, lost Texas in March, Jamie in December the big bugger is 6 months old now! he's like a miniature giant lol this isn't exactly a new trick, but here he's demonstrating how he learnt to open the back sliding door (none of my other dogs have ever figured out how to do this, it's kinda annoying ) and another different kind of size comparison :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Clicking Mad Posted December 15, 2012 Author Share Posted December 15, 2012 a quick update as the 40kg puppy had his 1st birthday today he didn't get much of a celebration today, just this gifting shoot and some yummy treats because I had to go to work, but also he just had his successful cryptorchid operation earlier this week and he's on strict rest :) I gave him a kong twizzler toy early though, he loves this stick, carries it around with pride and I got us to the river last week when I realised I'd booked his op. the same week and that he'd be out for his birthday ... he loves getting wet! :D ~~~ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
