Another flyball Nationals over and done with, and we came home with a first (Div 8) and second (Div 2) placings. Makes it even more special is it was Darcys last nationals as I won't be going next year and he will be 11 when the next one is on, so I was thrilled when his team won :)

Very proud of my guys, they ran hard all weekend and had to put up with my unusual disgustingly bad starts! LOL Only I can double false start a few times but also triple false start in the run off for first place lmao

I was either spot on and just plain bad, never anything in between :p

Was an awesome weekend, we all had tonnes of fun and I don't think I stopped laughing or smiling all weekend :D

Most definately, it was my favourite ever comp just because it was so much fun! Everyone was lovely and seemed to enjoy themselves, helped that the weather was excellent as well.

gack.. 3 days till camping & Trial :) I was so seriously going to put in a bit more work on the weavers with my boy, but he did so well on sunday at training that I'm too scared I'll push him too hard & he'll go backwards.. I think it can wait till after the trial.. was a bit weird as usually he's fantastic on the contacts has never jumped off the see saw before, but he was so excited on sunday he rocketed off the end despite my "steady" yet he was great at the weaves.. weird little dog :)

anyways looking forward to the trial over the weekend.. pray for nice weather people except not too much sun as my nose is still not fully healed after nearly 2 weeks :)

 Nice brags DD - versatile girlie Elsie is - that's great.

And good for you and Waldo Sue. 1 to go for RE and then on to the long haul of RAE - but you and Waldo will do fine. And nice work with the first CD pass. They all count - and it's great if they can pick up after a not so good start.

ETfix typo - as usual

Had an awesome night at the local WAAG (Gold Coast) comp last night.

Xena was simply awesome - 3 from 3 with 3 first places.

Wikki had a good night too. Still plenty to work on, but some nice stuff in there as well. 1 from 3 (inc a second place) - the third she was a bit spooked by the thunder I think.

This was my favourite, even though we eliminated.

For Mr CK these days its only about fun. :)

Only one more trial to go for the year.

Rally trial for us today. The feral Kirra was...feral ...but in spite of a big handler error on my part causing a 10 point IPS, she did manage to scrape through Excellent B and then put in a bit better effort to pass Advanced B, and get her 9th leg towards RAE.

Little big man Rory did quite nicely in Excellent B .. in spite of my rubbish handling causing us to lose 6 points but still got 2nd. (Memo to self..you do not need to say "sit" at a halt to your obedience trained dog..that's for the feral one :-).) We made up for it in Adv. B with a 99 and 1st. That was his 9th leg towards RAE2.

Big brag from me! Had our last competition for the year this weekend, which also happened to be our first ever working trial competition and Elsie qualified Utility Dog Excellent! I can't believe it!

Do it or Elsie CDX UDX JR RN

Congratulations DD! Though can you please explain what that means for the Aussies

ETA: From what I can figure it sounds like halfway between our CDX & UD. How many passes do you need for a title, or do you get UDX if you get a certain score?

Well done Kazhak & Krusty! I'd love to see video if you ever have any!

Well done on all the brags guys, sounds like everyone is having a great time!

Passed a utility dog trial with 90% of the points available, and passed every exercise.

Utility trial consists of:

- 30 minute old track, 600-800m long with one article.

- Heelwork

- Seek back, which is where you walk with dog in heel in a paddock with long grass and drop something, then continue walking, make a turn, walk some more then get dog to track back where you walked and find the article and return it to you.

- Scale wall

- Long jump

- Retrieve over clear jump

- Send away (30-50m to no visible marker)

- 10 min out of sight down stay

Thanks DD, very interesting. Our UDX is the stuff of nightmares  And you can only enter it after getting your title in UD. They are completely separate classes.

Well done again on your awesome year with Elsie  Very multi talented.
