My poor little "sheepdog in training", what are we going to do without you :mad

It's taken me 3 days to work up the courage to come here and post your tribute, losing you was such an unexpected shock.

You arrived at our house in January 2005, a tiny, fluffy baby. My very first "not-a-rott". You settled in so quickly, immediately bonding with Enya, who would be your bestest buddy until the day you died.

Throughout your life, your biggest loves were:

Your dad - such a bond the two of you had. Dad is lost without you, you were his shadow and his constant companion - whether it was working with the sheep, carting water, putting out food for the sheep, mending fences, or just cuddling on the couch the two of you were never far from each other.

Your sheep - you were never the greatest sheep dog in the world, but you looooved working with the sheep. I think even they will miss you.

Your Enya - your bestest doggy friend. Enya is missing you so much :mad

Your intelligence always astounded me, your affection always made me smile. So gentle, so very clever, so vibrant. How can you be gone?

2 years is not enough, and we just don't understand why you were taken from us. RIP my beautiful Cookie Monster, find Stewie he will show you around the rainbow bridge. We love you and will all see you again someday. :)

I want to share this poem with you

Coolibah coolies shared it with me today

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Take care

Trace, that is a lovely tribute to Abby.

Big hugs to you, OH and Enya. They are just great photos of Abby and Enya together. I remember you telling us stories about Enya wanting to be a sheep dog like Abby. She must be lost without her BF. I'm sure the puppies are going to miss their Aunty Abby too.

Lots of Love from Mr & Mrs Mack_Truck, Mack & Foxy.
