  1. LOL. I was thinking much the same thing. Kitty needs to keep on Rocky Hoppalong's good side.
  2. LOL - grandmother in dotage ..... Florence Mary.
  3. I'd be inclined to give it a go, kirty. They can only say no and be rude. On the other hand, they might be relieved to be "getting rid of a problem". I lusted after a little black Pomeranian who was always getting out of his yard (that is, people left the gate open ) and seemed to live on the front porch . I finally plucked up the courage to ask the people (who went away regularly at weekends with their bigger, younger dog and left him alone) they said that had I asked earlier they would have let me have him. By this time, I'd taken him to the vet for them, organised grooming and flea treatment, but they'd started to include him in their activities. As you would know, matted dogs can be in serious discomfort right through to a lot of pain from the matts pulling together with urine and poo burns. So sad.
  4. For sure, T, but probably just open the topic up again by referring to the outbreaks and linking past threads
  5. Don't over think it LOL. Just expect the best outcome (after reasonable homework) and that is probably what will happen.
  6. I don't mind it, actually, as it seems to fit such an interesting and distinctive dog. However, a name has to mean something to an owner.

  8. You can't and the subject has been discussed ad finitum. A search will find lots of questions about the transport of dogs straight from pounds.
  9. How is her name pronounced? An-je-leeka, or An-GEL-ik- a ??
  10. Lovely looking dog. I know you can't really tell from a photo, but she does seem to be good natured too - she seems to have a spring in her step. :) :)
  11. OsoSwift, sadly there will be shonky operators in every profession, from huge multinationals down to the grass roots providers of a service. I guess, in the final analysis, you have to do the best you can and market yourselves accordingly. There are those who, like yourselves, want to be able to sleep soundly at night, and there are those at the other end of the scale don't care. It is the way things are and those of us who do care have to continue to be vocal in anyway we can. I can totally understand how angry and frustrated you must be when events happen that tar the industry with the same brush.
  12. Yep, Tamar is one of them. Walks up and down me in bed. I always thought she was looking for the spot that suited her the best, but obviously she was fulfilling her role as a Maltest Shiatsu Dog. Well done, Tamar.
  13. Unfortunately, the business of suing is now big business and has gone to ridiculous lengths when a householder can be sued by a robber who is hurt while robbing the house . However, when something like this happens, I think it is more about making a point and trying to ensure that others don't suffer the same. And, most importantly, it is about ensuring someone takes responsibility for a tragedy that should not have happened.
  14. Oh that is funny Boxbright. You are nesting LOL !!!
  15. Heartbreaking for all concerned. Take your eye of the ball and tragedy happens. Happened to me Monday 22 September 2008(my eye off the ball) and even nearly 5 years later, I think of my dog every day of my life.
  16. Excellent news, Chezal I assume these new lucky lucky adopters know that these puppies have fans :D :D
  17. Sorry, changed my mind. Hope he isn't too upset :D :D
  18. They are stunners, Koala. You have really pulled out all the stops to get these two through . They have such intense stares as though they are trying very very hard to take in everything you are saying and doing. Too sad about Narla. Hugs to her carer.
  19. I have to say that I was trying to work it out  . Nothing like auto correct to give us an
