Yes, they were all pretty well just very tired and sleepy dogs and cats..... the last one wasn't very nice at all, poor dog.

Whilst I don't believe it is necessarily a recipe for disaster, management of a "situation" can be extremely stressful. It requires constant vigilance 24/7 and this in itself can be exhausting. Being on the alert all the time ...... too difficult. You are aleady in a stressful situation, you are planning on bringing in a stranger to your settled and ordered life. That in itself is enough to handle. Keep looking for a housemate who will blend in with you. There is going to have to be many adjustments on all sides, the last thing you need to be worried about is whether dogs will get along. Good luck and I hope it all works out for you.

Could You Be Your Dog's 'heart Person'?
Loving my Oldies replied to Little Gifts's topic in General Dog Discussion
So you don't believe dogs have an ability to love their people? They are just being pragmatic and self serving? -

Widget: From Big Belly To Babies!
Loving my Oldies replied to Kirislin's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
Kirislin is absolutely the best Have you set up a camp bed alongside Widget yet, K? They are totally gorgeous and in those last photos of Widget before the births, she looks like a bronze statue. What a stunner of a girl. I'm very sad the second little girl didn't make it. Hard to believe that huge bulge contained just 4 puppies. -
2 Year Old Toddler Killed In Deniliquin
Loving my Oldies replied to Trisven13's topic in In The News
That has been in my head all day. The horror of being in the centre of a dog attack resulting in the death of a tiny child. In space of a few minutes, so many lives changed and damaged forever. -
Full story please,

I reckon Miss Porky should stay with your mum and her dog and become Slimmer of the Year.

These are points that are so often glossed over or not even considered when attacks are spoken of. The ongoing consequences can be life altering ..... for the worse. In this case, what if the man has a trade? It will be a long time before (if ever) he has proper use of his hand again.

Haven't got a clue who this fellow is, but those with plenty of money, whether educated or not, often think they are above the law.

Sadly I don't find this a funny story at all and all the "balls" references pretty banal. Why did the little dog have to be killed?

Best Washing Oval Dog Bed Mat?
Loving my Oldies replied to kelpiecuddles's topic in General Dog Discussion
Why not just go to op shops and buy old sheets, towels, quilts, etc? Wash them a few times then throw them out. -
Another Dog That Needs Rehoming......
Loving my Oldies replied to iggy mum's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
Iggy Mum, I was thinking about you yesterday and wondering what you are up to. Seems like still being the good neighbour to dogs in need Any chance of getting Sally to the vet immediately, just in case she is pregnant? I am happy to contribute towards her immediate spaying. -
Totally agree. No one in the grooming business should make you feel "crazy old lady". Of course they must get the same concern from owners dozens of times a week. However, they have elected to go into that trade and should learn to understand and respond appropriately to an owner's concern. The groomers I use now have the headphones so they can answer the phone. They don't leave a dog on the table even though they may be grooming a metre away.

Why Is Jackson Still Waiting?
Loving my Oldies replied to ruthless's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
Congratulations. I hope Jackson and his new family are totally happy together. And best of all: Aunty Ruthless still gets to see him -
Just horrific and heartbreaking. If that is what the police said to you, I think you should make a complaint to the Police Commissioner and to the Police Minister. A disgusting attitude. They have a cruel killer out there and they say that. Really really awful.

I thought it was funny -
What a terrible thing to happen to your dog and you. I hope you can find out who did it. Awful that the police didn't care. Perhaps try another police station. Something horrible like that should be investigated.

What's the good cause? Her pocket (The FB page has disappeared by the time I tried the link so I don't know the whole story.)

Yes, I was of the opinion that that was the case too. I have a vague recollection of a magazine offering a pet as a prize and that was very quickly and firmly jumped on.
