  1. I have a dog who is a chronic digger. My solution as I don't want to concrete the entire yard is that in going to use long tent pegs to hammer down weldmesh on top of a (what's left of )my lawn. I plan to let the grass grow up thru the weld mesh and then mow high so the mesh doesn't interfere with the mower. Haven't dknt it yet but in plan to. I will need to add soil to make the yard as level as possible before hammering the weld mesh down. I will use weldmesh with small squares say 75 x 50 so she can't make any huge holes. I'll let you know how well it works. It's my last resort as ive tried everything else

Jed I will never forget what happened to you and your dogs. It's permanently engraved into my memory. I admire you so much for getting through all that you have. I can't begin to comprehend what it must have been like for you, RIP to your wonderful pack waiting for you on the other side.
  5. One male Iggy pup born by c-section today. Difficult day, very grateful for a live pup and mum.
  6. I had 4 larger breed dogs, 2 makes (boxer and bullmastiff cross) and 2 bitches ( golden retriever and kelpie cross). For 5 years my two girls were the best of friends. Then one day the kelpie cross attacked the golden and the fight was of deadly intent. had enormous trouble separating them and ended up tossing the kelpie x girl over a fence to save her. It took weeks for the kelpie girl to recover from her injuries. For 18 months I kept then apart using crates and toddlers gates. I eventually started taking them out for a run together and one day the kelpie again attacked the golden. I was unable to separate them and it was only when they saw my starting to drive away they stopped. Kelpie was badly injured and I put her to sleep as I couldn't risk another fight. Was a terrifying and heartbreaking experience. I am always very careful with my bitches now. I have my backyard fenced into different yards and I generally put the bitches in different yards. I thought because my girls were besties for 5 yrs I would never have a problem with them. How wrong I was!
  7. I bought a new Rav4 last year, had the previous Rav4 model before that. Once again I test drove everything similar and once again the Rav4 had hands down the most room in the back. I have a cargo barrier that's fitted behind the front seats. Huge amount of room in the back. We have i35's at work I drive them a lot. Easy to drive but tiny boot. Crappy tiny rear window too. Build quality is nothing like the Rav, you can tell they were made cheaply. If you have big dogs I wouldn't bother even looking at it. Cx5 is the same. It drives great but very small inside. If you need space go the Rav.
