  1. She was obviously a much loved member of the family and has left a huge hole. With dogs we have lost and it has been many years, it can still bring tears because they touch our hearts like only dogs with unconditional love can. Non-dog lovers have no idea, but as someone else said, we DOLers understand. All I can say is that you will never forget her, she will never be replaced (even if you choose to get another mate for your other Rottie), she will always be remembered. Love to you.
  2. So terribly sad for your loss. Lots of hugs to you in this sad time.
  3. Nice to see a poodle and not a cross. Looks like a minature?
  4. So very sorry for your loss, Anne. So glad she had her remaining years with you, she was very lucky.
  5. Loving the photos of Jerry, he looks quite the character. :) :)
  6. I remember Chimes, what a stunner! So nice to see updates on all the dogs.
  7. He sounded like he had great character and what a cutie! So very sorry for your loss.

So very sorry for your loss. How are your kids taking it? I loved the photos, something to treasure forever. Deepest condolences to you and your family.
  9. The only reason we were looking at a Frenchie is because of DOL. But the prices have become so ridiculous, I refuse to pay in fear that the dog will become a target for theft. I'm leaning toward a Lagotto, almost got one before my other Field, but hubby would love another Fieldie, whereas I don't another dog will live up to his expectations. Henschke is such a special dog. I have noticed more Scotties around - in the past they were a rare sight, now I've seen two within the same week.
  10. What a beautiful animals they are and how lucky you are to have been 'allowed' to be in her presence. She looked very much loved.
  11. Anyone to get one of your puppies is really lucky. The time you have spent with those pups is amazing.
  12. Miss Squish, what breed of dog is that? I love seeing Ping, he's so cute.
  13. Oh I love that breed. We had a puppy in our show class and she was so sweet. More photos please!!
  14. So very sorry for your loss. 32 years is a long time. She was very beautiful. My deepest condolences.
  15. Last night at 1am he hacked up a small piece of a treat, did another cough and that was it. The vet said no x-Ray because it was probably in the wind pipe and hadn't shown any symptoms since. We are just to keep an eye on him, feed him and if he vomits, bring him straight back. So far all good.
  16. Everything crossed he's fine. :) Thank you.
  17. He's still hacking up, either just noise or bits of food. I will be surprise if Mr Sickly doesn't have anything wrong.
  18. OMG Jules, I'm so very sorry for your loss. Deepest condolences.
  19. I agree. We called the emergency vet who told us to bring him in, free of charge cause she was at the clinic (how nice) who gave him an injection to stop him vomiting, and we are going back in the morning for an x-Ray.
  20. Hi guys. Looking for some assistance here. Henschke had a bone and since he's eaten it, he's vomited up bile 6 times now. What's weird, is that he just does it wherever he is instead of going outside like he usually does. He's pretty quiet, but he's not an overexcited dog, so it's hard to tell if he's listless or not. It's been about 4 hours since the bone (was a rib) and he's still throwing up. Should we wait and see or take him to the vet? I'm worried it could be a bone stuck somewhere. Thoughts?
  21. Excellent post. Personally Mon, I'd be thinking the same as you. I'd give calling the guy about buying the dog off him...who knows, he might think it's a blessing as he might find having a dog a PITA. What have you got to lose? I'd also be trusting your instincts and would call the RSPCA/council...again who knows what the response will be? Maybe they've had complaints before or maybe the dog's situation is fine. Regardless, I'd be interested in knowing any of the above results.
