I feed a combination of raw and premium but I am not about to say to you, "Ellz what your feeding your dogs is crap, dont you know about the raw food??, it is the best things for dogs, i have obviously done a lot more research than you, its because I care about my dogs so much (more than you do it seems), you cant seriously tell me that Uncle Albers is the best food for your dogs''. Because this is how some of the dialogue in this thread has come across.

I was browsing through the stafford pages for a friend today, and I couldnt believe the amount of blue breeders who have pups or have the words blue in their prefix. Do you guys think this trend will pass? Can you show blue dogs? Not many of the blues seem to have titles. And what is with registered breeders calling them English SBT's? I didnt think every breed needs to have the country of origin put before its name.

hi mim, I just thought with the GSD's that it was at the upper end of irresponsible considering hardly anyone has a decent size yard in the area (not that this is the be and end all) and I wouldnt have thought any experienced GSD person would be silly enough to buy a dog from a petshop so therefore you are selling a possibly high drive dog to an inexperienced person.

Have any of you guys been to the new better pets and gardens in Myaree on leach hwy? I was pretty impressed with their range of products. They have a really good range of dry food. I got some marked down nutro that still had a month on it. They even had these cool fish ponds with gold fish in them. Ive been to a few city farmers and I didnt think they were that great. I wanted eagle pack or nutro and they didnt have any but they had 70 different kinds of advance. I also wanted a half decent slicker and they only had kramer and no name ones. I also asked the shop assistant if they sell comfortis (when i was having a flea problem) and she looked at me like duh whats that? Is comfortis only a vet and online product? Havent seen it in any shops. Anyways have any of you guys been to select pets in bicton. Its pretty disgusting, their specialty is GSD's in little fish tanks. I havent seen much of the larger breeds in little fish tanks before. I think they have a good little BYB operation going on. maybe i shouldnt be naming names but just thought i'd put that out there.

That is great that Cody got a new home. No dog especially an elderly one should have to be put in that situation. I can relate to your situation. My sister and her husband live in Ireland in the country and their neighbours are my brother-in-laws parents. They have a son, my nephew and he loves dogs. The first dog they had (think it was a cocker X) used to go across to the next property and have a go at the mother-in-laws pekingnese. One day it attacked one of the pekingnese so badly that one of its eyes was gauged out of the socket and left dangling by a thread and the other eye was also damaged. It survived but is totally blind and only has one eye. They rehomed the dog in question. Then they get a lovely black cocker puppy. But they didnt put the time into training it and thought it was a dumb dog. So they rehomed it too. Now theyve got a border collie puppy. And they still dont have a proper house yard or run to keep him in. They have this idea that because they know some people who have farm dogs that dont roam that their dogs will be ok as well. Anyway their border collie pup does roam because he has nothing to do all day. They are also keeping him entire because the breeder told them that it will change the dogs personality. So now this new dog has taken to going over to the other next door neighbours house and humping their entire golden retreiver who doesnt appreciate it. Its only a matter of time really...Ive tried to suggest a better way of doings things but they want to do it their way. The worst part is my nephew has been devastated twice now and id hate for that to happen again

My vet has said the same thing. I am still confused about the triennial vaccine though, as some information seems to suggest that it is just 3x the dose of the annual one - and I can't see the point of tripling the dose???? Maybe stormie can help clear this one up. Ive also heard that a triennual vaccine like nobivac dhp contains over 3 times the amount of MLV particles compared to the old annual ones.

You have to wonder who is pulling her strings. I think with the question should people buy dogs from pet shops? She wanted to say an outright 'no' but she would have been worried about the consequences. I can just imagine now people going into PP and asking to see the parents of the puppies.

I dont understand why she would go on the show and help promote designer dogs but then mention puppy farms. And what about designer mutts inheriting different genetic diseases from both parents, she doesnt mention that.

I dont know if this will help you or not but I buy my pet tags from ebay. I use the seller: pettagking and I find their tags are pretty durable and look hot. They should be able to print the logo for you.

Some of the ads in the wanted section are terrible. Most of them are written by people acting as their dogs pimp and want a bitch to mate with - no papers needed we will just chuck em together and have beaut pups. I dont know what kind of arrangement they would come to in regards to puppies, money etc. Some might not even want puppies who knows?
