  1. Constructed this yesterday from a photo I took. Seemed appropriate.
  2. Hope you have slept, and that you travel safe.
  3. We , today, got an Electrolux on special - wow!! Suction is amazing - it'll pick up the DOG , after it cleans up all that hair It's nice to use as well. https://www.electrolux.com.au/vacuum-cleaners/canister-vacuums/zpf2310t
  4. Probably not . the other cross has a thick spitz coat ... so the long silky coat may not happen .
  5. .. and that is a very BIG ask , both for carers and pup . She will learn new habits/modes of communicating... she will mature in the care of others .At 9 mths - she has a lot of maturing to do ... for a couple/few months care , she may stay 'your girl' - for 12 mths - she will not be the same girl you left behind. As wisely stated, you need boxer-savvy people !! these people will then give her their hearts to stomp on with goofy boxer paddles , to dribble on - and they will face a wrench when they need to give her back You also need people who will educate her well - how will you know this ? Gosh, it's so very hard I couldn't do it ... Heartwrenching as it is , rehoming to selected ,lovely people will need to be considered , so then it won't matter if she learns to do xxxxx, or forgets yyyyyy, if she becomes a bench surfer, or loves stinky dead possums .... I hope it works as you wish - and I hope time with your F_I_L is longer and happier than first thought ...
  6. Lovely to see photos of your gang The lioness queen is so cute!! The news of Bella's owner is very sad indeed ... but bella will be in excellent hands again now ... Your dogs are just so fortunate ...
  7. After so long, there will be a big space left behind . I am so sorry ... What a wonderful long life .Aptly named , well loved, and handsome ....RIP Loki.
  8. It could well be a demodex mite -caused thing . Obviously a vet is the best plan for correct diagnosis /treatment . This page might be of help to you
  9. it would be interesting to put one on one of the dogs here when they're goating ..but a backpack or harness isn't the safest in their job
  10. It sounds cute ..BUT ;) puppies will often play with a soft crate ..a nibble here, a scratch here ... and then ..Oops ;) if puppy toilets in crate ..you will have a wet/dirty dog ... they may wake each other pandi might NOT enjoy someone else in her very private space ...
  11. @Scottsmum very pretty blossoms- and yr shot of a tui made me look them up What a pretty bird
  12. "On the floor with kangaroos " GOLD :D
  13. Interesting. Wish there was a less technical way to measure - It'd be interesting to learn how many Kms The Boss's dogs do on goat mustering days !! (dear reporter, they are NOT cattle dogs ... *sigh* )
  14. arrrgh- sorry, keep forgetting ..anyhow - last week ..in our roadside mailbox. Juvenile bearded dragon And, fresh from the smartphone ... a very cold little Litoria peroni ..Peron's Tree Frog . Not quite warm enough for him to be awake yet , so I moved him to a more protected spot Colours are slightly 'off' , but .. I'm often just glad to get a photo!! Lovely to see where folks are by looking at all the images :D
  15. PC .. are you after blowies ,bush or stable flies? I mostly trap blowies ..maybe the smaller ones can escape ?
  16. oh ! I've never had too many escapees . The best one ever was one of those 10 ltr spring water bottles !! I put in a couple inches of water with bits of putrid meat . left the opening as it was and caught heaps. I think the trick is to have the actual circular opening only about 2 .5 cm from the bottom/floor/water . Flies will instinctively fly UP ..and can't work out how to get back down & thru hole . I always use water ...
  17. Found this : http://www.hoax-slayer.com/zip-lock-water-bags-fly-repellent.shtml And today , I have started to assemble what's needed to make a few DIY traps .Damn Blowies have come out in FORCE!! http://www.elitepestcontrol.net.au/tips/diy-fly-trap/
