  1. Hmph! Dear old thing ... My Bro has gone to work away for a few days . he phoned tonight, and asked what I'd done with the donuts .... Apparently he bought himself a pack of 18 jamball donuts ..had them in the front of the 4WD this morning ...Of course, I found the empty tray in Caillie's kennel She bounced around earlier for her meal .... I had no idea that she had breakfasted ROYALLY on a mound of sugary yumminess ...... BEAST
  2. I am a great believer in this !! :D saves problems of mouthing/chewing/playing before they even start :)
  3. This poll I started today may help you :) CLICK HERE training classes will also help. No matter what your pup wears , it is YOUR knowledge of how to teach him which is most important . :) My choice is a good quality flat collar .
  4. Thank you :) it's interesting . Guess it does make a difference too with coated breeds ....? I am a dinosaur with no experience in harnesses (LOTS of flat collar/chain collar work before harness training adult Guide dogs, but that's different ;) ) and I have only ever used head collars on adult dogs meant for people who were infirm /incapacitated in some way.Limited slip collars I have used a few timeswith pups , and like them . They are excellent for those who do the yabby backward spurt and leave flat collars behind :D

  6. That seems impressive ! What was the problem ? puppy, or dog?
  7. yes, definitely just feed a normal amount of food .at present .. pre pregnancy quantity , even.. .. so there isn't massive amounts of milk being produced. her boobs will settle a bit once her system realises that there is only one being emptied regularly .... I would probably not use the vinegar - pup may not enjoy the taste ;) ( I have used it with bitches who've lost pups or got mastitis )
  8. It seems I need to update a bit :) Enjoy .
  9. ..Guess a raw diet is out of the question .... he doesn't look to have good teeth ;)
  10. Jane Harper from Dogs on Track might be the one, Persephone? If you're in her area, she'd be the best one to talk to. :) That's the name ! thanks . :)
  11. does she have free access to outside ? What was her routine before whelping?
  12. This is definitely a job you need professional advice with .. The name escapes me , but there is someone in Brissie I think who gets recommendation from folks on here ...
  13. Good for you in waiting for desexing .... ! just to clarify , fluff .. dogs can be perfectly well trained using an ordinary flat collar ..and 'pulling problems' in a pup are usually not needing special equipment ..it's the method used which teaches (not physically controls) the pup that pulling is not the only option :) Puppies will pull - they are excited to be out & about ..and have not yet been taught that us poor humans dislike it ;) I don't believe puppies need to wear anything other than a flat collar .... but maybe that's just me ....
  14. Very possible - with our workers ..they will bounce around and work carrying quite a bit of pain - which of course then shows more when they rest .... I do believe animals and humans will 'keep going' for whoever needs them ..then fall in a heap ....
  15. ..because she has been running around ..then stops & rests , and the pain starts up when the joint settles ? I have the same with my joints .. not bad when I am moving.. but evenings are not good. Just a thought...
  16. I'm not acquainted with obedience schools recently ..... so can't really comment .. the passing around of pups caught my interest ...
  17. No - nothing except for watching the videos & reading online .
  18. The roo I cook sometimes is human grade ... I cannot stand it . Mind you .. different types of kangaroo smell different! the reds are the nicest to eat .. if one does that sort of thing ....their meat has not much smell. The greys ..well.... Does, too, smell a lot less than a big ol' man buck ...full of testosterone & adrenaline ... same as pork or anything ... but more noticeable ;)
