  1. I reckon an iPhone 4S would still cost me just as much as a dedicated camera! probably :) I was lucky ..mine was 2nd hand (Thanks D O L ) , and a Christmas gift!
  2. size ,weight and shape are big factors .. if you have larger or smaller hands, some cameras may be a bit more tricky ... for example :) Oh! Also check out Flickr's Camera Finder :) LOL seems the IPhone 4S (which is what I use) is very popular at present.
  3. :) yayy :) You may enjoy a bit of research as you are looking/thinking. here are some links which contain interesting info . LINK LINK LINK
  4. Do you mean he really experienced the burning house and had bad dreams afterwards? Yes. apparently he would be in a real state and awaken the household
  5. if the younger one has no health problems ..then obedience and stuff with BOTH will help :) no use punishing the older boy, or coddling the younger ... they both would benefit from knowing that you are the ultimate leader :) Playing etc may be fine ... as they have their rules .... but when it comes to beds/food /human presence , there may be problems. I would be very mean .. And crate them separately to sleep .. Institute The Nothing In Life Is Free way of life for them both , and restrict some privileges for both ... that way there is much less of great value to argue over , perhaps?
  6. OK :) hope it helps. Most of these things take a week or 6 to have effect , AFAIK ...
  7. have you checked this with a vet for dosage rates/drug interactions ? I know some of the ingredients are homeopathic , but are all the rest ok ? (I might get some for myself!)
  8. :) it's part of life ...none of us sail thru without some not-so-good experiences , dogs and humans alike! Obviously very severe and recurring ones are a concern .... but IMO , the odd bad dream/nightmare is a normal part of the brain working to sort things out ....
  9. It must be so depressing to be chronically /seriously ill and living alone without a great support network . I can understand why she feels a need to have other living beings in the home , and also how these very beings are causing her more stress While it's probably in the dogs' interests to be rehomed , it will not help her situation ... I hope she can get some professional help from an attuned and pragmatic social worker /support person before someone decides to remove animals from her home . <br style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: verdana, tahoma, arial, sans-serif; line-height: 18px; background-color: rgb(238, 242, 247);">and this is possibly going to be the most difficult thing she will ever do ..and will not just 'happen'
  10. I agree with this .. (My Hamlet did have a polar fleece coat for Winter , as we get sub zero nights and my bedroom always has an open window ;) )
  11. Long time no see ! I would suggest two things off the bat - A:Young boy is unwell .. Hiding away is often a symptom of being sick ...having pain etc. . Intermitent pain is something to consider .. B:The older boy had given younger one a beating while you're away ..and now younger one is trying to keep well away , as is polite and safe . Older dog could well be warning him off without you noticing , and reminding the younger boy that his place is now OUT ? That's all I can think of at present ....
  12. The worst one I knw of was a young dog who escaped his burning house by jumping through a (closed) window. he really did have bad nightmares !
  13. may karma catch up with him tenfold. I am so sorry
  14. :) His blood sugar might have had a needed boost?
  15. Betadine might be a better option lol, metho burns like nothing i've ever tried!! hahah I did try on me first . Betadine gets used most days here ..anything doubtful ..on goes the betadine ;) (I think we need a roller tail pic ! :p )
  16. jellyblush, with a foster , what would happen when roo was at daycare?
  17. Be cautious with metho on broken skin ! try on yourself if you like first ;) !! It is good for drying pads/disinfecting skin /toughening skin, using to clean/disinfect skin before a procedure :) betadine (or saline solution if nothing else )is a great disinfectant/anti bacterial for wounds
  18. Nilodour doesn't work for dogs & cats unfortunately it may take some smells out of the air for human noses .. that's all .
  19. You got this cav from melbourne , didn't you ? I would be contacting the breeder and asking ..NOW.... They should have given you all sorts of information ..incl. current diet and what they recommend . keep him on fairly bland stuff - chicken & sweet potato is fine for now ..and then GRADUALLY add in a good quality puppy dry ... any diet change is best done gradually ... maybe try him on a teaspoon or so of plain natural yoghurt too :)
  20. Poor boy ..wonder if he ingested something which has injured that area? For food .... make a chicken/veg soup ..and mush it up :) cook anything, and process it down to mush, actually :) scrambled egg ... ? make raw mince into a slurry , then set it hard/thick with aspic/gelatine .. so it's a like a jelly , which will dissolve ..but feel like he's eating chunks ;)
