You explained it yourself , in that bolded bit. It is not 'ok'. to those who do not suffer (and suffer it is) from the varying compulsions and beliefs which lead hoarders to this lifestyle. To the hoarders..it is just another thing they do ...a bit like someone , who when asked to write a food diary , discovers just how many cans of coke, or bars of chocolate they do consume each day , without consciously debating the wisdom of it - even denying it to themselves...

Big beef bones won't really do it .. the bone needs to be eaten wholly, and digested ..so it provides firmness and the "oomph' value when excreted to push on those glands . Eating bone this way is excellent for jaws& teeth and also provides lovely minerals & such :) Chicken carcasses, turkey necks, wings ... lamb flaps or whole necks ... roo tails .. all in LARGE lengths/pieces, so chewing takes a while .. not just chomp/swallow. teh bone needs to be well chewed ...which is why weight bearing bones aren't ideal..they have a different way of disintegrating .. and tend to chip off/splinter . I would also get a vet check if it continues .... Thinking about this perhaps she is having some pain, or a nerve response which is uncomfortable - setting off that gland empty reflex?

..it sounds very normal pup/teenage behaviour. You can not expect a bored puppy to ignore chewy/edible things :) things need to be well put away! Especially medicines/chemicals and plastics. As an example..try leaving a two year old human in the kitchen alone for an hour ..... bet it doesn't look as you left it!! One solution is to leave her outside ... in the yard, or a secure large run. The other solution is , if you need to leave her indoors all day , is to limit her to one room ..or a large pen ..with room to toilet, play and sleep comfortably. The random peeing could well be a bladder infection ..or just that the routine has changed, and you are not there to regularly make sure she is outside .... The amount of walking may be a bit much for growing joints several 5 minute training sessions in your yard will make her brain a lot calmer :) two short walks ..and several training sessions, interactive toys , and some restriction on where she can access .... That's my 2c worth :)

:) I did it for 18 mths after I left school ...just one photographer , at their home ...weddings & kid portraits ,mostly. Absolutely fascinating ... and nerve wracking ! NO 'UNDO' buttons!! I also used to do the 'remove blemish'/smooth skin thing... with a tiny , tiny paintbrush and special ink ..and lots of prayers :p

..maybe I am being over cautious... I believe ANY dog , and in particular a large dog , that has nipped/bitten /been pushy should be assessed by a professional person before being considered for rehoming. In WA there is someone who has been mentioned a lot on D O L LINK HERE ..and she is not a puppy ... these are learned habits .

That's a good plan - also consider blocking vision totally to the chooks . They will be drawn to the movement/noise ..and learning to run along a fence and bark at what's on the other side is an easy thing to learn yep..and photos are a must! :)
