That's a good plan - also consider blocking vision totally to the chooks . They will be drawn to the movement/noise ..and learning to run along a fence and bark at what's on the other side is an easy thing to learn yep..and photos are a must! :)

Lovely!!Like the flowers, dogs, flags & things ... like the 'funky flare', too ..and it reminded me of this one I did a couple of months ago . Yes, I did extend the 'rainbow' a little ..but it was there to start with :), which is what made me think of the song :p

I do know someone who breeds a few litters of fluffies to sell. These puppies are much in demand ,by word of mouth , as they are beautifully socialised, happy and healthy, vacc'd, chipped ,vet checked .. kept with several adult dogs all of their 8/10 weeks , and much loved and fussed over as babies. They are indoor/outdoor ..via a doggy door . I've never known the parents to be ill or have any probs . They are kinda like ragdoll cats .. when picked up..they just flop and enjoy ... it's.the way they have been treated since birth. Homes often stay in touch ...as pup grows. I wish that a desexing contract or something was done ... but .....

here's possum the other night .... she annoys poor Bruce the sheep ..is always around him yipping and yapping and rounding him up ..Collie goat isn't as much harassed - but neither of them mind too much. This was a one-off snap.. almost dark and hand held @ around 1/30 so it's not clear..but cute :)

go up to the 'search' button ..and type in "toilet training' or 'house training ' There are lots of threads which will be full of info you can try :) Puppies usually are not really reliable for some months ..their bodies are not built for hanging on when they are babies.

Unless your chooks are out of sight/reach ... you will probably have problems with pups getting excited at the nice noisy, fluffy things which move if there's noise !! Not a good habit to start 2 pups is a PACK..and the behaviour will be quite different to a singleton left alone ....

Doggles are great for salt/dust etc .. but I would perhaps try the mesh ones .. for my dog .. as they look softer/lighter and breathable /cooler :)

perhaps, with VICs laws at present this is something kennels have to do now? maybe go see them or talk to them and just chat about it ..you may find it is out of their control ..or if it is their choice..then I guess they have reasons . Their kennel- their rules, I suppose.
